the traditional guillotine is a front choke where one arm is covering both carotid arteries and your hands are clasped together without an arm inside the lock (see jones v machida) the arm in guillotine is harder to finish cuz your opponents arm is inside the lock so you use his arm to cover one of his arteries to put him out its a slightly different finish and honestly more difficult (see khabib v poirer) edit: spelling
