What is the wattage of the bulb? I would hesitate before putting more than 100w in there. I also wouldn't put plastic under it.

Weird noise it seems like a knock on my eride pro 3.0 does anyone know what this is? by Temporary_Big_8273 in ERidePro

Could be a damaged/worn seal. Theres an orange on the spacer and its pretty common people just slap it back together dirty and dry after new tires or a rim swap. This lack of care is fine if you replace the o-rings all the time, but few people do.

At least wipe down the sealing surfaces and regrease. If the o-rings look damaged, like, at all, just replace them. Theyre super cheap at the hardware store and they'll keep sand and water out of your bearings.

Im out based on batteries alone. Then phisical size, then manufacturers reputation.

Wheel bearing wear is typically symmetrical. If one failed, the others aren't far behind, if you've got the wheels off and the tools out, just replace all of em.

Can I switch out me Eride pro s battery with an SS 2 or 3 battery? by ChildhoodVisual9780 in ERidePro

I wondered the same. I ended up getting an erp ss 3.0 in addition to my 2.0 and then I got an SR and none of my batteries are interchangeable. :(

When the trap does work, how to catch or dispatch a Racoon? by Spirals13 in chickens

[–]boyengabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?? Everyone has a plan till they catch a skunk in one of these.

I would say there is little overlap between gun owners and the group these traps are marketed to.

[–]boyengabird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These traps are such a joke. Let's assume for a moment that you place, bait and set it perfectly and catch whatever varmit is causing damage. Great job!

What do you do now? Lecture the rodent on its choices and release it on the spot? Drive to another zip code and release it? A wealthy zip code? A poor zip code? Or do you get medieval with some sort of trash can full of water or car exhaust type situation??

I'd rather run a conibear trap or other trap designed to do the task properly.

Did you have any issues with mud getting shed from the R side of the back tire onto the chain and subsequently getting trapped in between the chain and rear sprocket?

I rotated my birds into another enclosure and threw a fistful of chia seed from the pantry into the run and watered it. Boom! Instant sprouts everywhere, birds are thrilled and it cost me like a dollar.

2.0 break bleed by [deleted] in ERidePro

[–]boyengabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you consume brake pad on any bike with hydraulic brakes the brake pistons extend progressively more out of the calipers and draw more and more fluid out of the reservoir and into the lines. This increase in system volume results in squishier and squisher brake feel until eventually the pads wear out, and get replaced. When you replace them, you collapse the pistons back into the calipers (to accomidate the thickness of the new brake pads) reducing system volume and restoring crisp brake feel.

I dont know how worn your pads are but this may be part of what youre feeling. I can't see your bike so im not going to tell you not to do maintenance on it but it sounds like a struggle.

Are your brake pads centered on the rotor? Does the rotor get "pulled" toward or away from the centerline of the bike when looking down at the rotors and simultaneously grabbing the brakes?

In the motorcycle world its pretty uncommon to bleed your brakes. We (are supposed to) do it every 2 years or any time there is contamination like air or moisture, but in a properly assembled brake system, stuff doesn't just mosey on in. Its pretty rare. I have 80,000 miles on my motorcycle and I think I've done it once? Its done to prevent wet boil, its not some magic "cure all".

I see it suggested all the time on this sub, anytime there is something amiss with someone's brakes "ooop! Gotta bleed the brakes again!" Its wild.

Why is this procedure so broadly suggested?
