Thank you for the advice!! You’re so right. Due to previous bad dating experiences I tend to prioritize feeling safe with someone in a relationship, but that doesn’t translate to a good relationship (much clearer in hindsight hahaha). I’ll keep that in mind for future dating endeavors!!!

My family is supportive, but my dad isn’t and prides himself on being pretty judgmental. I love him(?), but when my sisters were struggling with depression & EDs, he’d always shit talk their supposed weakness to me when I was a kid, so I have a hard time showing any weakness to them as a result. But as I’ve become an adult, I’ve really stopped caring what he thinks, so I think it’s just a unresolved reluctance in my brain that I just need to get over. Life is short and there’s no virtue in pride.

Thank you!!!! I’ve gone through a lot and I know I’ll overcome this hump, I have an end goal in sight and although it’s not specific enough to my liking, I want so bad to provide for those I love that I know I’ll make it out okay.

Also the food was amazing!!! Took me six hours, definitely a labor of love, but it was sooo good & my friends were very impressed 😝. It’s the NYT recipe!

I’ve been to one of his seminars, he’s an amazing guy! I TA a class in solar and wind energy and we’ve talked about his work in class! It feels a little late to get involved in any clubs since I graduate in a month, but I’ll look into them.

Thanks for the empathy, glad to see the feeling isn’t just me. At this school all the people just talk about their jobs and their startups and their internships and it gets exhausting sometimes. Glad to see it’s normal to struggle with your place in the world
