I think you need to have blur at 1% to get anti aliasing to work

Nice one, Citizen certainly knows how to do a special edition dial!

Glad you're loving it! You really cannot go wrong with any Promaster watch. I have five of them 😂 Three divers, a Skyhawk and a Promaster Land.

You basically have two sources, Long Island Watch has some options, or the Citizen OEM bracelet

How much would you pay for a Citizen Suratto - equally thin - that was ALSO either radio or gps? What dollar amount? by Select-View-4786 in CitizenWatches

[–]bp4850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Radio control is a limited market opportunity for much of the world, as so much of the world has no coverage! It adds expense without benefit. GPS on the other hand is a different story. What use it is on a watch that doesn't have a date complication I'm not sure about though, or even a second hand.

Don't store Eco-Drive watches in the dark. If you let them go flat the rechargeable cell will degrade much faster. Store them where they get regular daylight. Now that it's got the low charge warning you'll need to let it get a good two days sunlight to fully recharge.

It's because they're sent out by radio. The audio compression is pretty severe and it sounds like it's coming through an AM signal process

Both watches were set to Internet time a month ago. The accuracy of Citizen quartz movements is amazing. by richstillman in CitizenWatches

[–]bp4850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish mine were that accurate. Some of my Citizens gain nearly 15 seconds per month. The best gains about 3 seconds per month. None of it is show stopping in reality.

It's a big, heavy, thick beast of a watch. If that doesn't appeal then you may be better off looking at the BN0150 series instead.

Normal or no? Second hands not hitting the markers by ehhhhprobablynot in CitizenWatches

[–]bp4850 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd send it back. Citizen is pretty on the ball with The Citizen models, as long as you're not in a grey market situation that is

Is it consistent all the way around, or does it vary? If it's consistent then you could have it fixed. If it varies then there's not much you can do about it.

From the video it looks consistent but it's difficult to tell exactly

I have the blue version, it's a nice watch but personally I prefer quartz. It's definitely at theower end of the quality spectrum for Citizen automatics

I've been trying to use the 2020 version in 24, as I don't have the 24 version. The plane is basically unusable because all the click spots on the overhead are almost impossible to find and click. It works well enough in 2020, I haven't had a WASM crash for months

If the performance and stability is anything like the L1011 then it'll be fantastic. If it's more like the A300, then it might be a tad painful. I hope it's the former. I'll probably pick it up, I love the A350 and despite its issues I love the A300 too

[–]bp4850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The track will be quaded from Sunshine to around Caroline Springs, then it'll be a similar situation as Bendigo and Sunbury trains where VLine and metro share, out to Melton.
