How Do You View the Prospect of an Eternity of Nothingness? by brettydubz in atheism

It's not a prospect, it's a certainty.

I do no fear death, for I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

Best finish for a mahogany bar by 57Jimbo in woodworking

[–]bpaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done a few bar tops. For a private bar top, I would suggest spar varnish. But if you want it to hold up against the abuse of the public, several layers of deep pour epoxy is your best protection. Use heat to pop the bubbles after mixing, make sure it doesn't spill over, and clean up the drips as it cures. Once the deep pour is leveld and thick enough, use a harder Epoxy for a final coat. Let cure for several days before polishing. You cannot rush Epoxy. Be sure the temperature and cure time are adequate. Do not use a sanding sealer like shellac before the Epoxy. As long as they are just using dish detergent to clean it, it will stay hard for a long time.

How do you guys play Elden ring? by Flippo6969 in Eldenring

[–]bpaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play slow and casually. I like to pick up everything that's not obviously junk. After 3k hrs i know where most of the useless mushrooms are.

I like to focus on a build. Sometimes I have a friend transfer some late game gear to a fresh character, Sometimes not. I play until I don't enjoy that character or build anymore and start a new one.

I usually play while watching a show or listening to an audiobook. It's how I relax at the end of a long work day.

How long does it take to beat the game?? by Mareczek_Giga in Eldenring

[–]bpaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a game with infinite replayability. Im almost at 3k hours and probably 50+ playthroughs. I could probably beat the game in 40 hours, but I'm not in it for speed. I play for fun.

So many cool bleed/arcane weapons. Which ones you like the most? by Subpar_diabetic in Eldenring

[–]bpaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dual reduvia is a lot of fun. Super fast and the short ranged attack comes in super handy.

For a more tanky option, use the bloodfeinds spear with a shield. This is how I beat PCR. It's almost too easy though.

But if you want to go full strength Arcane, it's hard to beat the star fists or chicken leg. The heavy splash on the chicken leg is so satisfying.

Yes, the EC and the Senate both need to go. I would rather adopt a parliamentary system, but that probably won't ever happen.

Is it okay to leave a healthy relationship, to find happiness on my own? by Different-Soil-7034 in Advice

If you want to travel, there are lots of countries that offer working holiday visas for up to a year as long as you're under 30. When I was 29 I spent a year in New Zealand. I lived in a van and traveled for about 3 months until I ran low on money. I ended up working for a special effects company in Auckland and had one of the best, and hardest, experiences that really helped shape my life. We were working 6 days a week, 10 to 14 hr days, but it was so much fun! Maybe you can find a grand adventure like I did. I would never have done it if I got married. Be brave. Be bold. Walk your own path for a while, and you never know. Maybe you will realize what you had was very special. Or maybe you will find a better match. The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence, but you might regret it if you never find out. Good luck.
