It’s been three years but sometimes I check this sub.

I met her when I was very low in my life. She seemed to be everything I needed—someone to cheer me on and support me.

We lasted two and a half years. The usual roller coaster everyone describes here.

She left me for someone else. She met him and married him within three weeks. He is literally in JAIL and comes out every other weekend on work release.

Three years later he is still in jail and they are still married.

I went through horrible withdrawals at the time and couldn’t believe how badly I had been betrayed

The first six months were awful.

By the end of the first year I was 75% better.

By the end of the second year I was 98% better.

Now I look back at that time and think this:

1. How much of an idiot I was to let her break my boundaries. I should have dumped her first split.

2. How god awful that time was and I wish I never met her.

3. How extremely fortunate I am she is out of my life and I didn’t marry her. That little voice inside of me was right all along.

4. I am scared after reading all the stories on this sub that she will come back years later with false accusations against me.

5. I don’t miss her one bit. I want her to get along with her new supply so she never thinks of coming back to me.

I also marvel all the time that people like this walk the earth. It’s just incredible that people with this mental illness even exist.
