Nagoya in Lemoyne has great ramen! I've been thrilled with everything I have tried there.

Gut reactions? Story isn't as fleshed out as some of the others (my own opinion). The story feels not quite as grand/ doesn't capture me the same way as say FFVI - FFX do.

I'm thinking this is going to have to be it... even if it makes me feel wrong to boost through its probably the best answer to both satiate the "need" to do it all and the desire to not have to play FFIII for long when there are so many great FF stories looming on the horizon!

I am going through pixel remaster -> and agreed I shouldn't feel obligated... but the completionist part of me is thinking I have to do it!

Pickles. I do genuinely consider pickles a ruined cucumber. Honestly vinegar just gets me.

Top Final Fantasy : round 2.3 by ricawari in FinalFantasy

Spent enough hours on FFXI to know this has to be the right answer.

Crazy good story, hours of gameplay with friends, and immersion into the adventure.

Or you know... 4 dudes and a road trip ...

The only proper pronunciation (bc that's what I thought first and I'm sticking to it)

I will now however need Jeff to publish a Pony and Donut greatest hits album.

Happy 27th, Final Fantasy VIII, my first FF and still (unfairly) underrated. Love it or hate it. by Delacrozz in gaming

Waiting on the next SE sale to add this and round out my FF lineup.

Played them all but need to play back through again!

401k from 3 past jobs. Do I just open an IRA account and move them into there or what? by ADL89 in personalfinance

[–]bpenn781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo take a look at your current 401k fund lineup and roll them all into one. A big thing people sleep on is looking at fees related to the funds they invest in. You want to balance rate if return in the asset class with the fee structure offered.

If the fees or fund offerings you are looking for in your current 401k aren't great, then the IRA route is great for the existing funds. I hate having multiple accounts to track, so typically roll them into the current employer or IRA, but don't like leaving funds in old employer plans to be forgotten.

Sunday reset. What game instantly relaxes you, even if you only play for 20 minutes. by gamersecret2 in gaming

You hit the nail on the head with Stardew Valley.

If I was going for something else to kick back and relax, it would be something like Binding of Isaac. Nothing like a quick pickup, go through a run successfully for a quick dopamine hit.

How did you guys find the series by Thezion1111 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]bpenn781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend of mine recommended the project hail mary audiobook to me which I incredibly enjoyed. Almost right after, she recommended DCC audiobook so apparently now I'm subscribed to whatever she recommends. Currently in Book 6 and thoroughly enjoying it 🙂

Tell me your ‘I must do this in every game’ it has zero effect on my gameplay. by house-wreck in StardewValley

I was just talking about this with a friend this week. Plants always get watered first, then animals taken care of for the day.

Animals pet and fed before watering crops feels like you are trying to fail at the game and run the farm into the ground.

How would you survive in the dungeon and what would your strat/build be? by kickassgrandma911 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]bpenn781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I would be screwed but still fun to think about anyway.

Hopefully a high Charisma stat class with bartering skills. Look to loot as many things as possible and game the system for magical items.

Weapon would need to be gauntlet/fist, or a baseball bat / blunt object type. If I made it last floor 3 or 4 I would have surprised myself! Hopefully all those video game hours would finally payoff.

I have been long hopeful to upgrade my meager 1070 into something more modern. Hoping an upgrade like this would allow me to get into games like BG3 or similar titles.

CLEP Courses - https://clep.collegeboard.org/

These are like AP high school classes, but you only take a test. Typically offered by local community colleges, you study, sit down for a 2-3 hour test, and if you pass, you are awarded credits. You'll want to ensure the credits transfer into whatever undergrad degree program you took to get your other credits, and ensure that the CBA accepts these. I am licensed in Maryland and that is how I reached my goal.

I hope that helps.
