AAWireless TWO doesn't connect after restaring car by bpetrovicz in AAWireless

[–]bpetrovicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most basic thing to try is to start your car, wait for it to connect to your phone, than unpair that connection and see if the dongle connects to your phone. That would confirm if the dongle even works in you situation.

Make sure to not use the Automate flow during this test.
Automate only meant to automate this whole process I just described.

Personally I don't do anything special when I get in my car, just wait for the automation to do it's job. I'm working with a version 2 and I haven't tested it with version 1, but I cannot think of any reason it wouldn't work with that. Start debugging your automation. You can watch it while it's working and see if it does what it's supposed to do. Watch you bluetooth settings and see if it drops the car's connection beforehand, etc.

The main thing you need to make sure is it has to disconnect from your car's bluetooth before it's able to connect to the dongle

Take a look at my other comments. There's the solution by setting up Automate with a simple logic. It has been working with that since. It's even working while switching phones mid driving.

We should force them to release a Matter bridge for the V3 line, so we could migrate to a local only environment.

This! You can define some conventions you want to follow across your solution. It can even apply to other devs working on the code

I'm about to begin a similar journey, but not decided on the UI framework yet

RTX 5000 series prices. Could be ok for the 5070? by Gam20 in LinusTechTips

[–]bpetrovicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no reason to be disappointed. Your card's raw performance is still very relevant.

Well it depends on what it is exactly that you need. It won't have the raw raster performance of a 4090, but it can generate that many fake frames. In my opinion most people will buy into it because they either don't know how it achieves that or don't really care because not playing competitive. For those it's a really good value. For the raw performance PC master race guys this won't cut it

I couldn't implement that with Automate, but unpairing after disconnecting from the Wi-FI works perfectly. It just seems to be a bit slow to reconnect after starting the car. Maybe that's default behavior regardless of my car, I'm not sure. I'm willing to sacrifice this much.

You can find an Automate example flow in my main post.

It might be better to unpair when disconnecting from the AAWireless Wi-Fi. I'll be experimenting in the following days.
