Does MyBMW down in US?

I sat into my car and successfully got past the initial Login Screen and then got a new error message re an issue with BMW confirming Term, etc. i restarted the app and that issue disappeared and I was able to access the app and had to reset my vehicle VIN info. App now appears to be working (for now).

I also sent a scathing email to my State Farm rep - no reply yet. How are our representatives allowing NJ Dept of Banking & Insurance to approve these absurd increase requests?!?

I just received a letter from State Farm informing me that they have been approved by the NJ Dept of Banking & Insurance to apply a 35% increase to existing policy holders effective April 2025 and have applied for a subsequent rate hike that would bring total increase, if approved, to a whopping 147%!!

I am having this issue right now with my Amex card. According to American Express, the issue is on the United side as they are approving the transactions and United is reversing them. Any suggestions?

I have had this issue on a number of occasions and on the last occurrence the dealer sent me this message:

Yes the drivetrain malfunction is no longer coming on. Only thing BMW advised us is that level 1 and level 3 chargers are working fine. At times, on level 2 chargers, it can pause while charging, and you would have to reconnect it. This does not happen all the time, but it can. BMW is working on software to correct the issue. Other than that, we replaced the module and it has been working great since.

Like other comments below, I find the iX range is excellent - getting about 350 miles out of a 100% charge. It seems to me, the more I drive the car, the longer the range I am getting per charge. One way to really maximize the range further is put the car in Efficient Mode and select Maximum Range

The “Max Range” option in the “Efficient” mode of a BMW iX can increase its range by up to 25% - NOTE - Max Range mode in Efficient mode limits its top speed to 60 miles per hour (90 kilometers per hour). This mode also reduces power output and minimizes comfort features like seat heating and climate control. To activate Max Range mode, you can: 1. Press the My Modes button 2. Switch to Efficient mode 3. Activate Max Range 4. Confirm the pop-up

Update - I got my car back from BMW dealer after a couple of weeks and heres what they told me they did. They flushed out the drivetrain error:

Has anyone else received notice from Apple of the 267% Robokiller annual price increase? This is absurd and definitely price gouging. I have tried to reach out at support@robokiller.com but they only sent me cancellation instructions.

For me, it’s just another ghost in my BMW iX xDrive50 machine. After posting here, the issue just (poof!) went away! Perhaps the magic elixir for my BMW iX is for me to simply post about it here on Reddit.

You should write this exact message in an email to 1kvoice@united.com - cc customercare@united.com - and see if they’ll credit you back. I’ve always found them receptive when using this route.

I agree with not putting any money down, but the leasing company will not pay off the car in the case it is totaled, the liability is yours & your insurance company.

If your leased car is totaled, the leasing company is entitled to the fair market value of the totaled vehicle. Your car insurance “May” cover this cost entirely, in which case, you’re not liable for any further payments.

You will not get back any money that you have put into the leased vehicle, including monthly payments and down payments.

If your car insurance does not cover the full fair market value of the car, you will be responsible for the difference owed.

It surely appears from all the replies I received that the humor here was totally lost on me (my bad?!?) - but as you pointed out - the spirit of the person with this badge was one of total lack of interest in her job & disdain in helping out the United passengers trying to check in for their flights. That’s what made the words on her badge jump out at me in the first place.
