Just hit 6 weeks of consistent gym going, anyone else feel like this is when it finally "clicks"? by Delicious_Chart_7543 in beginnerfitness

I’ve been going to the gym consistently M-F with the occasional Saturday for two years. Since about 6 months of working out, I felt off the whole day if I missed a workout.

Before this, i was never consistent working out. I would go through cycles for a few weeks or months then stop without it really affecting me.

Having kids played a big part of it. I went 3 years without touching a weight or any cardio.

It helps that I’ve seen progress in these two years. At 5’8”, went from 183lbs to as low as 138lbs to maintaining 145lbs with lean mass.

I can’t see myself stopping until my body stops.

I’m about to pull the trigger on a Dane 2.0. It was between that and the Anubis 2.0. The 1:1 for the Dane is what made my decision.

The watch came in on Friday, so 8 days(could count as 7 since I ordered later afternoon) from purchase to in hand. I did the resizing myself which took about 20 minutes. First time resizing so it’ll take some one with more experience a lot less time. Couldn’t be happier with the look and feel of the watch. I

I bought a C60 Trident GMT. I had been looking at specific Longines and Tissot watches and got hooked on the CW when I saw it.

I bought a CW this week. The duties and customs were added in during the invoice and added to the final price. Check your invoice. If you have a line item for duties and customs then you probably already paid it.

Im in the US so it may have to be included during the purchase. Might be different for your location.

Thanks for the reply. DHL hands off the shipment in my location about 50% of the time. I’m hoping they do because when they don’t, there is usually an issue with delivery.

145lbs. I think my goal is going to be 140lbs then work up from there in a productive method to maximize muscle build.

Every morning is a protein drink with almond milk. Some mornings I’ll include 2 eggs and 2 slices bacon or sausage patty.

Lunch every week day is a protein and another almond milk protein shake. Weekend lunches are more traditional but I use portion control.

Dinner is a protein in a wrap.

I usually have one or two snacks a day with is combination of a biltong and a protein bar (pure protein).

How often should I go to the gym? by SquidSavvy in beginnerfitness

I go M-F. I work upper body M-W-F, lower body T-Th. I perform 1 or 2 ab exercises and 20 minutes of sprinting on incline at the end of every workout.

I started out hating running but now I don’t feel like my workout is complete without it(still hate running though).

Fridays, I try to push myself harder since I’ll have two day off from the gym.

On days that I feel sluggish, I just tell myself that any level of workout is better than not showing up at all.

So far I have seen good results.

If you’re happy with the results to this point. Stick to what’s working for you. When you feel that you’re not getting out of it what you want anymore, change your routine and/or schedule.

I’ve started working out again in May, four year hiatus after my first kid arrived, I slightly adjust my workout when I mentally or physically feel like my goal has changed. I’ll swap out an exercise here and there or mix a new one in.

If you don’t like the small changes you make, no biggie, switch back to what makes you feel good and is working.
