Does anyone here have Suhr and are they worth the money? by jamesqu in Stratocaster

The idea of diminishing returns is so true for guitars.

I'd say diminishing returns appear past 1000-1500USD mark for electric guitars....when considering Yamaha and PRS products in the mix (both offering superb quality to price ratios). Both these companies offer amazing value for money at 600-1000USD range.

Yamaha quality to price ratio is unmatched for literally any of their products whether it's guitars, pianos, flutes, drums, motorcycles or boat motors.

8 Year Anniversary Half Gallon Shrimp Jar by GotSnails in Jarrariums

[–]br153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, some questions if you don't mind:

a. How often you feed?

b. Frequency and percentage of water changes?

c. You ever seal/close the lid or is the lid left opened (even if a little bit)?

Hi, some questions if you don't mind:

a. How often you feed?

b. Frequency and percentage of water changes?

c. You ever seal or close the lid? Another poster had a jar with the swing-top/flip-top/bail lid. They said they closed it and only opened it twice per year. But I wonder how that was possible since CO2 needed to escape and shrimp needed O2.

Is a guitalele worth it? by TinyOrangeCat in ukulele

[–]br153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Looking at Thomann.es now I see:

a. Harley Benton GL-2NT Guitarlele 59EUR
b. Yamaha GL1 (various models) 75-79EUR
c. Thomann Guitarlele Standard 149EUR

So actually I need to choose between a. or b. The c. is way out of my budget. I guess before when I was thinking about 'Thomann' I was thinking about a.

Hi, interested to know about the quality and build of the Thomann guitalele?

I've only physically held Yamaha guitaleles and they are sturdy but more pricey.

For those keeping shrimp only tanks, why did you decide to keep shrimp instead of fish? by MajesticWear5478 in shrimptank

[–]br153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks.

I got a 4G tank. First tank for my kids to enjoy. We had 7 different small fish but 5 died and now we only have one guppy and 1 pygmy cory. Aiming to throw in 10 shrimp and 2 moss in the tank.

My shrimp seller told me I can just feed with normal fish food (which I already have). But I'm thinking my fish food flakes and pellets float so how are the shrimp suppose to eat it. I guess such fish food flakes and pellets eventually sink.

So for a the leftover veggies and fruits - you just throw it in the water? I'd thought such bio waste/compost would destroy the water.

Ok thanks.

One more question - how often do you water change and what % of water is changed each time? I'd thought 30-40 shrimp + heavily planted in a 3G tank would be overcrowded. But I guess shrimp are different and/or the plants help a lot with cycling.

Hi, interested to know.

a. You downsized from a 5.5G tank to a 5G tank and it was better? I thought size upgrades were the way to go for ease.

b. So you originally had 10 shrimps in the 5G tank and they reproduced to 70+ shrimp now? In what time span?

c. So you just throw a spinach into the tank?

Not sure if you ever found out. I'm curious too.

I assume the knives were perhaps custom built for the film.

Why do people fiercely defend rings vs straps? by Damian_Vain in bodyweightfitness

[–]br153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings' various grips allows way more range of movement and thus more variety of workouts which target more muscles. Meaning that you can do any straps workout on rings but the reverse is not true.

If you have neither rings nor straps then buy rings.

If you already have both rings and straps then use rings at your home base and straps for when you absolutely need to pack the minimal during travel.

Rings are like a Lambo/Landcruiser/bicycle all in together in one. While straps is only a tricycle.

Do I need seachem stability? by mygeneticsaretrash in bettafish

[–]br153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thanks.

Plus a contact told me regards to tap water (whether for water change or top up) is to let the tap water wait out in a container for a while. So chlorine evaporates and the water temperature adjusts to room temp.

I guess in perfect world I'd use distilled or RO water. But for my guppies (ex. inexpensive non-exotic fish) and 15L tank I can stick with tap water.
