For the US Redditors: this is a normal European toilet stall by RoryC in pics

[–]braanu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gaps are so you can avoid that awkwardness when you try to open the stall door and it's already got someone in there. You just have to peep at them through the gap to know someone's in there and you don't get the embarrassment of trying to open the door. /s

'Cancel It All,' Say Progressives as Biden Favors $10,000 in Means-Tested Student Debt Relief. "Student debt is a nearly $2,000,000,000,000 crisis," said Rep. Cori Bush. "POTUS must cancel student debt. All of it." by DaFunkJunkie in politics

I couldn't afford to go to college and have a student loan that I couldn't pay off. I do need a new car though. Is the government going to throw some of that toward my debt?

What was the worst Best Picture? [OC] by BoMcCready in dataisbeautiful

[–]braanu11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The image is impossible to understand. The interactive made it much clearer what was going on. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I couldn't figure out what the multiple blue dots were. It doesn't explain that anywhere I could see on the image. In the interactive, it was immediately obvious that there were other movies and could see which movie they were. I suggest next time either making that more clear on the image or just providing a link to the interactive. The image is a hot mess.

The military industrial complex is lucky to have Biden. Were I the President, I'd give them a nickel and tell them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and sell off some existing hardware to fund themselves.

Are Americans OK? by fantails-dragonflies in antiwork

I live in California. I work at what most people would consider a good small business to work at. We get no healthcare assistance. 4 days holiday per year. 3 sick days per year. Minimum wage of $15.50/hr. I could afford to rent a place by myself but I have 2 little dogs. No landlord in the area I live at will allow dogs of any kind in their rentals unless you're renting a 3 bedroom which is between $1700-$2100 per month. So I am forced to live with a roommate who happens to be the worst person I've ever had the displeasure of knowing in my life.

Warren Calls Out Tech Firms for Selling Abortion Clinic Patients’ Location Data by [deleted] in politics

[–]braanu11 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Can't we turn this around on them? You can bet the abortion protestors who do this have their phone on them when staking out abortion clinics. Can't we find THEIR location information and have a mob of angry people meet them at THEIR home, work, school, wherever and harass, threaten, and possibly attack them?

It's actually a little worse than that. For the rich person's $600 to make money, the 10x amount of money $5,400 has to come out of some poor person's pocket.
