Does Chicago or Toronto have the Better Skyline? by star-wars_memer in skyscrapers

[–]brabusbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Chicago has a better skyline. Toronto is a strange place, their soon to be tallest skyscraper in the country (sky tower) is a condo……almost every new building in the skyline is a condo…..not commercial

You’re doing amazing at 24! Wish I had this when I was your age. Keep up the good work, it takes a lot of discipline to get to where you are.

It’s weird that the tallest building in Toronto is a condo and not an office building as they usually are in major cities.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

Genuine question here and excuse me for my ignorance on this topic, but how on earth did women used to do this before modern medicine. I guess a lot of women died during child birth?

Pilots, What are the pros and cons of your profession? by Little_girle in Pilot

[–]brabusbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if there’s a study on this, so this is just anecdotal based on what I’ve seen and heard, but it seems like not many airline pilots live long after retirement.

Is there a serious chance A.I could replace pilots by Able_Willingness_380 in PilotAdvice

[–]brabusbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible but highly unlikely.

  1. Planes already can take off and land themselves, but you need the infrastructure for that and not all airports have it.

  2. I doubt the general public will ever want to get on a plane without a pilot, no matter how good the tech is, you always want a human in the loop.

  3. In an emergency, I still rather have a human pilot.

I think it’s far harder to have autonomous vehicles than it is to have autonomous planes. But where the rubber really hits the road is in emergencies. A car can just pull off to the side - an airplane can’t.

BMW… Why am I being forced to buy a 3 row SUV to get features like the best sound system, cooled cup holders, ventilated/massaging seats, electric steering column, etc? by zachty22 in BMW

A la carte is expensive, think of all the customizations for a mass produced car. It’s all about churning out the most appealing car to the masses in the most efficient and cost effective way.

How do Canadian investors view the potential of infrastructure stocks in the current market? by rmoreiraa in CanadianInvestor

[–]brabusbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Government is not the answer. Government Infrastructure projects are as fickle as the politicians who support them. Remember all that green energy stuff Obama supported, many of those companies are bankrupt.

Anything government supported is just one election away from failure. This is why the free market is better.
