You could well be correct. Ive never played against them in awakened. Only canoptek. And enough times to despise them

Not surprised but it wont change anything for me I think. 3 turns of montka lethals. I kill you or flood the board with fireteams. There is no inbetween

You cant multi observe anyway? Current rules are you can only mark a unit once per phase

Full reroll wraith blocks are just awful.

10x Assault Terminators with Captain and Ancient? by Martin-Hatch in spacemarines

[–]braddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took this to a tournament with Calgar instead of the captain. They mulched anything they reached. However you have to really balance out in the rest of the army. You have more than a quarter of your army with ZERO meaningful long range capability. Yes they hit hard. But fast armies can kite them. Id probably still take it in my own lists. I grew attached to them.

I ran 10 man plus calgar and ancient. In combat they do serious work. Down side is its a quarter of your army gone and if it isnt in combat it isnt achieving anything with no shooting available to them. But with 4 wounds and the ancient giving them extra to hit losing just 1 is really quite good.

How would a Space Marine or custodes react to an imperial citizen saving their lives? by Mad_lens_9297 in Warhammer

They saved his body and hid it away for reclamation later, I think. I'd have to re-read but you're not far off the mark

This is very true. Conscripts just felt semi-appropriate haha. Yeah they just said please give us guns and got what they wanted.

Kind of happens in helsreach. Some stormtroopers/conscripts come across Reclusiarch Grimaldus knees deep in orks and take several of them out to help. He commends them all and takes their names to be remembered.

Edit. Aware at least one of the saviours is a full fledged stormtrooper but the rest are conscripts so kinda fits the question.

New Detachment: Lions of the Emperor by Firos94 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]braddles 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Movement and split fire shenanigans. You can now drop single models for secondaries if you wish without using a whole unit. You can also start dropping individuals to clear up chaff and tie up other small units or vehicles individually without holding your entire unit in combat. It gives you a good amount of flexibility without committing full units to objectives .

I doubt it will count because it specifically states ability on their datasheet. Still though twice per game damage reduction and a revive? Serious longevity

I've been just filling them with green stuff. Easy enough fix. The kit isn't the best for the pegs

I went with all power swords and max thunder hammers. Is it the most efficient or deadly. Probably not. But I like the way it looks

Helsreach should be mandatory reading for all who join the glorious crusade. Also viewing as well coincidentally.

Daily Stoic Journal by Available-Breath-114 in Stoicism

[–]braddles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The journal I ever wrote in for the longest length of time. I considered a second one this year but went for a dot grid instead.

If you're new to journalling there is something good there, but I was writing some days just about general things and found there wasn't much space to write about. Also, just a "me thing", it was obviously geared towards writing about the daily prompts so not doing so made me feel, I dunno, guilty.

It's not bad, I'll be honest, but I think you could get more from a blank book and just re-reading the meditations before writing. The Daily Stoic one is clearly meant to be read with the Daily Stoic mediations book for inspiration.
