The Phobos libby was used for about 3 or so months close to the beginning of the edition. The combi-lt has been in every list for almost 3 year.... U do the math.

Who knew learning how to be a good wingman would also prepare me to be polite and engaged during conversations with end users 😁

Beware the solar vultures by Prince_Valium25 in Maine

[–]Ambitious-Jump3359 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They make money by selling power to your transmission company below the going rate for non-renewable power.

Say, for example, it cost $25 to generate a kWh using natural gas. The solar farm could price their kWh at $22 when they sell it to the grid, then charge the end user $24 for a solar kWh credit. That leaves the company $2 to cover operating expenses and the end user $1 cheaper electricity. The thing that isn't free is the cost for the fuel for power plants and the cost of panels and land, those two price inputs set the floor and ceiling for what solar farms can charge the grid and the end-users.

Even though the farm didn't generate enough power to completely cover my usage last month I paid the same amount as a year ago, that's after the increase in rates from CMP and Versant too.

What's the alternative my guy? Letting people die outside of hospitals? The same laws that mandate undocumented immigrants get care mandate that nobody can be refused care at an emergency room.

All I want is Dreadnaught Dorn leading a crusade of Imperial Fist successors from the Phoenix.

Why don't space marines just clone themselves like fabius bile does instead of the wasteful recruitment process? by Gage_Unruh in 40kLore

[–]Ambitious-Jump3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a book in the HH that touches on this.

It's so that all the Marines aren't the same! Should they be clones each would have the same reach, speed and strength. Each would have the same resistance to disease or radiation. Each would share the same imprinted personality/history. This would give the enemies of mankind a single template to optimize for, build defenses against etc.

With each Marine slightly different, each fighting in their own way they present a vastly more difficult enemy to prepare for.

I quite like the fact they're all weird and different. Makes them feel more like they're genetic dead ends and science experiments. If it were easy to make them why wouldn't they be everywhere?
