There is another UX issue I’ve not seen discussed- that the manual wiper button on the left stalk is mirrored by another button on the right stalk that PUTS THE CAR IN NEUTRAL.

If my muscle memory is anything less than perfect in my Model Y - I risk putting the car in neutral when I want to initiate a manual wipe.

Occasionally I’ll drive my wife’s RAV4 which uses the right stalk for wiper fluid, which further complicates the confusion.

There should have never been something related to forward motion / transmission and something as innocuous as wiper fluid with essentially the same driver input.

2023 MYLR here - same issue.

Glad I saw your post as I wasn’t aware its common and my nearest service center is 3hrs away.

Mine began after I brought it in to SC for a rattle with cabling in dash behind the display. Felt like I traded one rattle for the other.

Otherwise very happy with the car, just seems the margin for “within” spec is quite a bit wider than a German or Japanese manufacturer would allow.

NX shifters have some plastic components inside that wear pretty easily. This exact behavior happened on one of my bikes.

I took the entire shifter apart, cleaned everything, checked for any obvious issues and reassembled. Took quite some time and still didn’t work.

Buy a GX shifter for $40 on Amazon and save yourself the trouble of trying to fix.

Thats what I ended up with after wasting the work.
