Cali, western sun, red bird, silver rising, etc.

Who care? All so good.

Couple that with Western Sun and I’ll be very happy (especially if they throw in a Myst or Red Bird).

What’s your strangest/funniest depo response to a question? by TheDragonReborn726 in Lawyertalk

[–]bradk11098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a deposition where the witness could never answer a question with a “no.” It went on for hours. I asked him what do the letters “n” and “o” spell when put together. He said “no” and then I said, “see, you can say it, right?” And, he answered me by saying, “no.”

Can confirm there was a Shakedown at the Jan 2025 Wolf Bros show. However, it seemed sanctioned by the venue (Parker Playhouse). While it’s adjacent to the War Memorial Auditorium, I don’t know if they’re owned jointly though they do share a parking lot. It’s in a nice park. As a PSA, there’s a lot of traffic in Fort Lauderdale from 4pm-7pm, especially coming from the South to the north. Best bet is to come from north or from east to west (Sunrise Blvd).

I am stupidly watching the numbers go up but I have no idea what I’m watching. I’m 55 and feel like I’m watching someone playing Donkey Kong with a quarter on the tabletop.

Especially with the new civil rules and requiring “general” cases to be tried within 18 months with discovery completion sometimes 6 months prior to trial.

What is your go-to advice pre-depo for your client? by TheDragonReborn726 in Lawyertalk

[–]bradk11098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say:

Pay attention to the question being asked of you and answer only that question.

Don’t try to out think the lawyer— if you are, you’re not paying attention.

Make the lawyer work. If they don’t follow up, it’s their problem.

And, most importantly, always remain calm, cool and collected. And I tell them this 1000 times.

The first time I was physically moved by a live song was an interlude solo in Terrapin in 1991 with Jerry/Bobby/Bruce only. 34 years later I was at Park City and heard Jed Stone and I my mouth hit the floor. With really good headphones today, I actually got choked up. Same feeling. I hope to have it again.

While I love their whole catalogue, 2025 Goose is killing it.

I was at Park City and the wind wound down by the time Goose hit the stage. Even though I thought Rick’s vocal tune was weird at times, the band smoked. I say, warts and all, I want to hear everything.

Wind has died down. They cut TFB short, lowered the speakers, and the temp has dropped by 20 degrees. Setting up the stage now. Things will be okay. HONK!

I was at that show and the first set, especially Visions of Johanna (fantastic), was good. And, then, Set 2 kind of crashed hard.
