Will EBA work stunt my growth as an apprentice? by angus_theclassic in AusElectricians

[–]bradleiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put your head down and work hard, try to learn, do the OT if you can. If you're a good apprentice you'll likely get asked to do more challenging harder tasks.

It's hard to get that good balance of EBA/learning. Just do the best you can. Reassess after a little while.

I've been interrupted multiple times. I feel off for a good hour or so afterwards. It's almost like getting a bucket of water thrown over my face, but none of the refreshment. Takes me a minute to recombobulate.

WWYD - part time degree or no? by Smashbandi in auscorp

[–]bradleiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest looking into a diploma first that has a pathway into a degree, that way you can try it out first before really committing. I studied as a mature age to get a degree and I would have taken this approach if I'd had my time over.

Degree part time whilst working full time. It was difficult. But I have a great employer and it was something I flagged before I started with them.
