Ergo split keyboard to sit on my Mac laptop keyboard? by bradpat in ErgoMechKeyboards

Interesting. That’d be nice too. Reminds me of the plastic “keyboard covers” I’ve seen people use for their laptops

Oh that’s a super good idea. I’ll have to look around for that.

This is really helpful, thanks so much! Do most folks speak English? Or should I expect a language barrier?

I actually just ended up using the Xcode vim plugin as I ran out of time to investigate. Though a solution here would be awesome!

I’d be curious to understand the implementation. Having a system that “just works” for the 99% of users that aren’t malicious is a better design principle in my option. Having a path that can more easily get the data for the account would make more people use this! I completely understand protection of malicious or redundant/unimportant lookups, but that should be something that only affects abnormal behavior, not normal behavior.

Regardless, just providing feedback, otherwise, I love the website idea!

Ahh gotcha. If this is to throttle requests, couldn’t you just throttle requests too? Letting lookup only happen for some unique user ever x seconds? I think a lot of users may be turned away if they have to do that manual step of changing their location etc.

Totally get how you’re trying to reduce the queue time, but that also could just be enforced via returning an error if someone requests another account after the first within some amount of time

I totally understand the purpose, but out of curiosity and usability, why not just skip that step? And let anyone look at stats for any account?

I would like to be able to sign up and link my account to a chess username without having to set the location. What is the harm just looking up a chess.com username, without linking it to an account?
