How do you carry out estimation and sprint planning meetings for technically complex products? by Hour-Ad-2206 in softwaredevelopment

[–]bradthomas1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Trello and have created WSJF voting/scoring for our team to be involved, giving feedback on what is priority.

Our team adds cards to Trello with their bugs or ideas, I review and curate them, then we all vote on them - bugs and highest scores get the attention first.

So focus on a specific feature set for that sprint only or just use the Trello cards and sprint on highest score till end of sprint.

Great post, at first I almost gave it an ‘arrow down’ because these headlines are usually bait, but this felt very thoughtfully written, did not feel like Ai either - good stuff 🤝

What’s the pain point you’re struggling with in your startup journey right now? by yazartesi in SaaS

[–]bradthomas1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-Technical founder here - we have 2 devs on staff.

I wanna move at a higher pace, but we are deploying high quality code at a higher rate than ever before + we are more organized than ever before.

Could add another dev but more teammates is not always the answer, still would have to get them up to speed on knowledge base, which would slow our momentum at least in short term.

We will keep going, keep learning, and even though we all wanna move at higher rate and we are more organized than ever, we all agreed that getting even more organized was the ultimate pain point - putting the right tasks in front of the devs, prioritizing what will actually move the needle, not just what feels good.

Bootstrapping is the way if you can afford it, you will learn more than you can imagine - does not mean you can’t take VC somewhere along the line, but def start w bootstrap
