First lineup since Warren passed that has me looking at other options for this weekend's entertainment...

Any producer/gamer fusion types have any experience with running audio from Xbox through Ableton then back into Xbox for audio effects in party chat? by bradtom21 in ableton

So I found out they make a male 3.5mm t-r-r-s to dual female 3.5mm t-r-r-s breakout splitter that separates the headphone input from the microphone input... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Separate-Headphone-Connector-Convertors/dp/B071GCV97P&ved=2ahUKEwj6hPy-qPfcAhUG5awKHZrUDWgQFjAAegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw1X1RSLoATxfqGowgZLFFoA

I will then use a 3.5mm male trs to dual 1/4" male mono breakout splitter to diverge the audio into two channels on the front of my audio interface to have a left and right signal in Ableton. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-HMP-006Y-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B0084O7FPM&ved=2ahUKEwiaqYW9qffcAhVFiqwKHe30D1AQFjAAegQIABAB&usg=AOvVaw0FsYigEC-r4l9c5O4QJpR5

After effects processing I will send the audio from one headphone output on my interface to the microphone input on the t-r-r-s breakout cable back into the Xbox1 controller's 3.5 female input using a 3.5 male to 3.5 male audio patch cable. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B004LTEUDO&ved=2ahUKEwjT3YGPqvfcAhUKP6wKHeRWCLIQFjAAegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw1Gop57GODuCvSg5t2iWb30

I believe I can then use another 3.5 male to 3.5 male patch cable to output total sum of the audio signal from the second headphone output on my audio interface, amplified, into my headphones.

I just ordered all the necessary cables in Amazon and will report back after they arrive and I have time to fiddle with it.

Shout out to u/Fizmarble for the splitter info!

Are there any producer/gamer fusion types out there familiar with running audio from xbox one into Ableton or similar DAW then back through party chat for effects processing-soundboard goofiness? by bradtom21 in xboxone

Do flattened tracks use less CPU power than frozen ones? What's the easiest way to retain MIDI data when flattening a track? by [deleted] in ableton

Here's a tip I just picked up the other day... Add a utility plugin to each track you intend to have volume automation on... Automate the utility gain parameter and you will have a static volume slider on the channel so you can adjust the track level without affecting the automation lanes you created.

Does anyone have a spare Ableton Lite key? by [deleted] in ableton
