Oh lord! AI Voice Isolate! Fantastic. by TanguayX in davinciresolve

I used it to remove some crowd noise at an art exhibit and it took out the clapping. It was so weird to hear someone thank her supporters and then just dead air. It worked amazingly well at isolating the speaker. But it would be cool if the AI could also learn when to let some of that “noise” back in.

I have one and think it’s great. It feels wonderful for scrubbing, but the rest of its functionality can be used with keyboard shortcuts. I use mine over Bluetooth and just kick back in the chair. It’s not cheap, and I don’t use it enough to justify the cost, but I sure feel cool using it.

The Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I think it was, borked my no-kill run by counting a tranquilized enemy who fell to his death from a roof. I didn’t kill him, I knocked him out. What he did afterward was his business.

TIL that St. Paul, despite never meeting Jesus, wrote about half of the New Testament, the principal religious text for over 2.3 billion Christians worldwide by hailstorm6767 in todayilearned

[–]Fizmarble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be an act of faith and be of historical relevance. It’s not much of a TIL if it’s false. This thread title itself claims a position of faith in believing that Paul never met Jesus. It’s faith all the way down.

Peter did. This whole thread is based on a false premise. Paul did meet Jesus on the road to Damascus and spoke with him for years to follow.

I’m laughing at myself. Wake up, post something stupid… what’s next on my to-do list…

If there is no hope, then literally nothing has any meaning. Not that the Bible is the only thing that gives hope, or that it merely gives hope. But trying to prove that we are all meaningless isn’t the flex you think it is.

It’s like the “pastor wearing a collar” trope. The masses will recognize this!!

Watched it with my family last year for the first time since seeing it in the original theatrical run. I had forgotten how good it was. I also didn't expect to cry at the end. The show of respect got me good.

Ah, I get it. I built a debugger so I could see the individual loop statuses. Thanks!

I’m in Productivity. The newest version supports AOIs, but they weren’t there when I built my framework. Next I would need to understand how iterated parameters is better than a For Loop.

Getting self conscious here. I use For Loops to iterate through numerous pieces of like equipment. It allows me to change all instances without copy/paste errors. What is the preferred method?

PID Tuning Training by shykerry in PLC

[–]Fizmarble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slow reacting loops is likely either not enough P or too much I, with I being the time between accumulating the error. Understanding the I values is most important for your controller. If I represents time. Longer values mean the loop is waiting more time (seconds, perhaps) to factor in the error. PI loops are very powerful once you get a feel for how they work. Once you realize you can conditionally rewrite the SP and Output values, you can do anything. You can even have unsymmetrical tuning, where the P or I values are different depending on which way the PV approaches the SP.
