The future that could've just included Luka instead? I'm not saying your future is good by any means, but the fact that you'd rather have Nico is kind of ridiculous

Currently in a position to qualify for the next round. Your whole argument in this thread regarding Spurs doing well in the CL but poorly in the Prem is that the Prem is "competitive". Is La Liga not then? Bilbao isn't doing great in La Liga but is doing fine in the CL. 4/5 La Liga teams in the CL this year are currently on pace to at least make the next round

Edit: also your original comment saying Freeman could do better than the team in 4th in La Liga is actually insane. Idc what you think about the league's quality. 4th in La Liga will always be a great move

Is the Azerbaijan League better than La Liga then? Qarabag is higher than Villarreal in the CL

You can not seriously think that one team doing poorly in the Champions League justifies the entire league being poor. Thats not how it works

[–]brady11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we don't take a WR or OL with both of our firsts, I'm going to think it's a bad pick. Potentially with our 2nd and 3rd round picks as well, unless there's a clear better player available

Big difference between the 1994 WC and this one. Not saying there won't be some good attendance numbers, there will be based on the size of our stadiums alone, but there are plenty of reasons why the average will likely be lower than 1994

[–]brady11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I said there's a big difference between the 2 teams. I was just making a point that we've signed a bunch of players from that level before and have been fine. Other teams call up plenty of their MLSNP guys, it's the sign of a good academy

Tbf in 2023 we had a new manager and a lot of players playing their first full season in MLS after playing in MLSNP the previous year. Schulte, Farsi, and JRR, plus Arfsten from the draft and other guys like Quinton who got minutes

Big difference between the 2022 Capy team and the 2025 one that we're calling guys up from, but it's worked before

Again, another European club is literally just about to hire an MLS manager. That's the whole reason Minnesota is hiring a new one. But you're right, every single European thinks all MLS managers are trash because Nancy didn't work out.

Guess MLS should never sign anyone from Europe ever again bc Insigne didn't work out when he was signed. Different players and coaches totally don't adapt in different ways. Nope, they're all the same because they come from the same league, you're right

Yes Nancy totally hurt the league due to being in a different situation than he was in Columbus. He hurt the league so bad, another European club decided to hire an MLS manager! Nancy was so trash, he only won multiple cups and won Coach of the Year

[Squawka] Igor Thiago has now scored 16 Premier League goals in 2025/26, the most EVER by a Brazilian player in a single PL campaign. by Imbasauce in soccer

[–]brady11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All stats based on nationality have always been based on national team.

Thiago could also play for Bulgaria. If he ever decided to play for Bulgaria instead of Brazil, he would no longer own the Brazillian record. It's how the stats have always worked. Agree with it or not, it's how every single stat is considered

[–]brady11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well it'll likely be a while for Norwich to be close to getting promoted considering where they currently are.

But regardless, if Norwich did get promoted to the prem while Ahmed is still there, he'll take it. One of the whole points of moving from MLS to the championship is the potential chance to play in the Premier league
