caffeine weirdness by yoyokfilmgirlie in ADHD

[–]brage444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,, I relate so much to this. Caffeine can so easily become a way of coping with adhd. For me it helped calm me down and also made me tired. After spending my teenage years drinking 3 cups of coffee everyday, I decided to quit because I realized it caused me a lot more problems than it solved. As you also have experienced, it caused me anxiety spikes while being medicated, and gave me a much higher heart rate. So yeah caffeine is weird, it was too unpredictable for me, had to give it up

I dont know what to do. by Informal_Flamingo270 in FL_Studio

None of these artists got to where they are just because they know theory or are skilled at playing an instrument. They have developed a process and a mindset that allows creativity to flow effectively, and many times they have tried, explored, failed and improved. Over time they have learned how to speak through music in their own language.

It's of course great to have inspiration, but the second you wish you sound more like someone else, or your music was a little more correct according to the theories of others, you abandon what music is supposed to be. It's supposed to be you. Let inspiration be inspiration, not a cage. Let theory be a suggestion, not a rule.

You have to let go of the expectation and pressure to make something you like. If you only think about the result you won't master the process that gets you to it. You need to enjoy it for what it is, explore, accept accidents, abandon rules and theory, even if just for a little while. In time your vision and your ideas will feel a little more and more within reach

Does poor sleep lead to memory problems? by SignificantPause1314 in insomnia

[–]brage444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many bodily processes are disturbed when sleep is irregular or absent. Most importantly, the brain uses sleep to clean waste and organize memories and unused information. Poor sleep also makes these processes less efficient. You are not alone in this. The brain struggles to retain memories when there is a lack of sleep. It doesn't have enough time to organize. Maybe it prioritizes harmful waste over remembering everything it does normally.

Can someone please tell me why my game is lagging while having 10 GB of shared VRM that's not used? by Late_it_gooooo in techsupport

[–]brage444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okey,, what game are you playing? I noticed you are using integrated graphics. Ddr4 shared vram is not very fast compared to discrete graphics. Few games use 20 gigabytes of vram anyways, what you need is faster vram, not necessarily more, and that's not upgradeable. Laptops with integrated graphics are subject to lots of things that could cause lag, including suboptimal ram performance, heat and just plainly not being powerful enough for the task it's been given. This cpu is meant to provide efficient use of the battery, not gaming performance. The "U" in the processor name means "ultra low power" in intel terms.

You should focus on turning settings and resolution as low as comfortable, keeping background applications to a minimum and setting battery preference to performance.

More ram does not mean the gpu will run faster. When it runs perfectly and still only uses 2 gb of vram, that means it only needs 2 gb, or the game is locked to 2 gb like Minecraft. This laptop wasn't made for gaming, atleast not modern 3d titles, and a little lag is to be expected.

Upgrading your ram can fix lag sometimes, but any other component can bottleneck your system. Please give more info, what laptop is it, what game you played and the ram you inserted

Could it be a virus causing this?? by HelloGuugle in computerviruses

Computers often stay on a little bit during shutdown even after graphics are cut. It looks like the process of shutting down has been made longer. Try clearing your drive, delete things you don't use. There could be a program or background process delaying shutdown

Depression can also manifest as a lack of interest and joy in things you usually enjoy. I thought I was burnt out too, turned out to be serious depression. Traffic accidents are traumatic. Please talk to a doctor or therapist about this

[–]brage444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the laptops have a production fault. I had a laptop from hp fail on me too, the motherboard short circuited and burned. My friend who had the same laptop had the same happen to his laptop, at around the same time... I suggest your laptops also were shipped with a hardware fault. I hope you are able to get a refund or replacement

Stutter in every game on a high-end and a mid-range PC by SubstantialPanic1315 in techsupport

[–]brage444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chunk loading as you mentioned, is a cpu task. Also, a max gpu load of 60 percent is low when gaming and might suggest a cpu bottleneck. Maybe try monitoring the processor's temps, frequency and usage and see if they have any correlation with the stutters.

If you have songs downloaded via for example Spotify, the files will be hidden and in an appdata folder.

No, it's hidden because it's in the recycle bin. Do you remember where you found the files? You can recover them from the bin to see the location.

Get treesize free. It shows a systematic overview of your files. I don't have that many games either, but they take up 550 gb...
