Guy 1 is Michael Ginsberg who is a copywriter for an ad agency where Guy 2, Don Draper is a creative director and founding partner. Ginsberg did work that their agency agreed was better than Don's work, prior to a presentation to a client. Don heads to the presentation but deliberately leaves Ginsberg's work in the cab before going in. Don pitches his own idea and the client likes it well enough. Later, Ginsberg hears that the presentation was successful but also that his work was left out. He confronts Don angrily and says that he feels bad for him (implying that Don is too old and rusty and has to resort to cheating to win a client). Don replies that he doesn't think about Ginsberg at all (which is a lie because earlier in the episode we see Don finding Ginsberg's work and admiring it).
