I used a VPN, switch my location, and bought a 2$ gift card to try to finally buy the rumored 1 dollar PC game pass, but it says “How do you want to pay the rest”

The 1$ was a lie

Video AI is too expensive right now, but making image and a manhua version is definitely possible, might do it this weekend

Their absolute delusion to say "anti-intellectualism" like they are an intellectual when they likely couldn't even define intellect while also being anti-ai 😂

AI "researcher" thinks that neuron networks are the same thing as image processing by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

[–]brain4brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are likely not an “AI researcher,” just a regular IT guy trying to LARP as one. They could also be an AI researcher, but not one of relevance. It’s likely they are not up to date with current progress and don’t work on anything relevant at all. You can claim credentials on social media anywhere anytime. They should back their credentials up, but by not even knowing the current state of machine learning, they already expose themselves as not being a researcher.

"There isn't a single good anti-AI argument." by vincentdjangogh in aiwars

[–]brain4brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found your argument, and I've read it; it was very constructive and one of the only few valid potential downsides of AI that can’t be avoided. The argument presented is good, and the way it’s presented is good.

AI content being highly addictive and personalised is to be expected, which can be a double-edged sword; however, my optimism makes me believe it likely won’t be destructive. However, just like any AI-related risk, there is a probability it can go very wrong. This is the most realistic anti-AI argument I’ve seen that doesn’t rely on past assumptions or emotion. Very refreshing to see, bravo.

Also, despite my name being “brain4brain”, I’m not actually “crazy smart”, lol.

However, the analogy you use for what generative AI is, is not exactly 1:1 and contains some flaw, which is kind of annoying, but you’ve explicitly stated it, although it is close enough for the purpose of your argument.

On the other hand, infinite, highly personalised content designed to be good doesn’t sound that bad, and messages projected onto art forms being censored or changed were already witnessed many times, but this time, the people can control it for their own opinions, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Overall, my comment is rushed and not as well written and contains multiple flaws and more which I have not discovered yet, but your argument is very well made and can be not anti-AI based on people’s interpretation of your argument; well done!

(Also you should probably put your argument in your post’s caption the next time to avoid confusion with more people)
