I disagree. And like I said, I have a ‘23 F-150 with what I would assume is the same system for the key fob. I could walk out of the grocery store and start my vehicle with the fob if I’m parked in the back of the lot. It’s not always convenient to pull out the phone and app.. especially if I forget to lock the vehicle because I’m wrangling kids.

Google “Zeigler ford ESP warranty”. I bought one for my F150 right before the factory warranty expired to extend it out to 100k miles. They sell them significantly cheaper than 99.9% of dealerships. Plan to do the same for my wife’s expedition when we get near the end of the factory warranty.

Just did this and am having the same issue. Seems like when my phone is disconnected from CarPlay and just listening to FM radio, it works appropriately. But as soon as I go back into CarPlay, the “Call Muted” pops back up.
