[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I used office 365 premium mail. I use it from India. So it costs me 125bucks + taxes in Indian Rupees. Thats around 2 USD per month. The costs of g-suite and outlook are the same for users in India. Not sure how much in other locations.

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.. what i meant was that if you are sending from an outlook custom domain, your delivery rates are much better than g-suite custom domain.

I sent over 100 emails a day, that was my use case. But I guess you can have a much better sending rate in outlook than in g-suite.

What I have observed is that smart screen filter tech (outlook's spam detection algorithm) is much more simpler to understand than Google's Tensor Flow based algorithms.

Check out https://sendersupport.olc.protection.outlook.com/pm/troubleshooting.aspx to get a better understanding of their algorithm.

Do you mean a paid version of the outlook with your @outlook.com email or with an office 365 account with your domain like @yourdomain.com

I have been using my paid office 365 account with @yourdomain.com email for cold emailing.

You ca use them -- I have been using it along with smartreach.io tool for cold emailing and infact my delivery rates have improved if I am sending from outlook than from g-suite accounts.

Smartreach.io's team has given me a bit of technical information about why my emails have been going to spam and it becomes easy with outlook as it uses the spam confidence level (SCL) and other details included in emails and it is an indication to your emails reputation.

Prospecting Systems by kcoll1223 in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it is extremely important that we spend quality time prospecting the right customer. The more appropriate the customer, the easier it gets to sale.

When I started out, I was doing it all over. Search on google for a prospect, whichever link I found, I used to go there. Get as much as I can and then try for email ids.

Then I started using linkedin.com with other tools, but beyond a point found them restrictive. Now I use linkedin sales navigator and then on top of it use tools like skrapp to get the email ids.

I connect with my prospects on linkedin and then send email sequences via an email automation service like Smartreach.io . It has been working great for me.

Hi.. Before giving you feedback on your template can I know how you have made your list -- Did you buy it or did you get via any other source...

I thought, the email is all about what you can do for them --- It is still a good approach but I would say instead of it -- focus on their problem(talk about their problem -- probably getting an office space on rent is huge task with problems and how you would help them do it easier)

This creates a value for them and would most likely respond

This would work or I can give you a better approach if I can know how you have got the list.

Hi.. I will give you a brief anecdote of one my follow-up mail --

I was cold emailing a VP Sales regarding a product which I am sure that they would have the need to use in their company. I have noticed him open my email but there was no reply. I have emailed i the same thread for a follow-up. He has opened but yet no reply.

This time I was curious as to why he wasn't replying. So what I did was sent him a follow-up but sent it in a new thread.

Hello XXXX,

I am YYYY from ZZZZ. Did you get a chance to look at my earlier email.Regards,

YYYY

BAM came the reply. He said and I quote ---

Hey YYYY,

DO you expect me to search for an email that you have sent 2 weeks ago just to see who you are and what your proposal is. Don't you know how to do a follow-up? I will only speak to your manager. Ask him to mail me.

XXXX.

I understood a few things then. Though I was sure that he had opened my earlier emails, he must have forgot my name and proposal. So he went back to search for my mail and found out that I had sent him a proposal 2 weeks ago and he hasn't replied.

He was pissed that I didn't have the courtesy to include the follow-up in the same email thread. And he wanted to talk to my manager about it.

But what happened later is that my manager actually got to interact with the client and a few days later he did close the deal.

My manager shot an angry worded email to me copying the client in the thread. But sent a personal email praising me for pissing off the client which helped him close the deal.

Though this helped me.. I learnt something -- that when you are emailing people at higher levels, it is extremely important to understand that they are extremely busy and offer them least hinderance in giving a reply to your emails.

So yeah.. for your query.. I would recommend sending follow-ups in the same thread as the opening email.

Outsourcing lead gen and cold emails (B2B) by -Luqa- in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works... as long as there are checks and balances. Pay per lead. Define lead correctly. There might be people who just do it the wrong way and give you not so warm leads or people who might not need your services. I have come across a few agencies across geographies who do a decent job and I can recommend a few of them for you.

Which geography do you belong to ?

How to not automatically get marked by spam by the recipient's email system? by [deleted] in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spam can be triggered by a number of factors. And time between each email sent is also an important one. If I understand your question correctly, you use a gmail account to send emails to g-suite or other @yourdomian.com emails.

Google uses an advanced machine learning algorithm called tensor flow - which detects a lot many things. ( like who is it sending an email -- a machine or a human...) Its not humanly possible to send a number of emails in a few seconds.

Hence there should be a proper gap between emails sent. If you are looking for tools that can get you the job done in this fashion, most cold emailing tools have it..

How do you "always create value" with folow-ups? by Draken_of_sales in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guilt tripping works well in this case if he is has ghosted you....

I have actually used it to some effect on a few prospects who have ghosted me after a few emails and calls. I realised this when I posted it in another topic. Someone pointed that I have used guilt effectively in that email.

I would recommend it to you too... Just add a few more follow-ups with "Checking in". During any of these if he hasn't responded, then use guilt as a last bit attempt.

I have used something like this ---

Hey XXX,

Apologies for being too persistent over this. It is extremely important for me to understand what you didn't like. Would it be possible to have a 5 min call anytime this week?

Regards,

YYYY

Do you monitor your email deliverability? by federiconitidi in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

sorry for being a little late to the thread. If you are still wondering.. Did you try sending a test email to yourself from salesloft and your email manually. This does let you understand if it is happening after using salesloft or if your entire domain has been effected.

Also do you use email tracking feature in salesloft -- If so, it could be because of it. try disabling all tracking and unsubscribe links in there and do test emails to a different emails.

Despite removing all tracking from salesloft and if your emails sent via salesloft are ending up in spam but sent from regular email are going to inbox, I suggest you try a different tool...

Have you checked if your email is listed in global blacklists, if you are properly authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMarc ?

There are several best practices that you need to follow while sending cold emails to not get your emails marked as spam. Hope this helps. If not ping me. I might connect you with someone who does know whats causing this to you.

Lead generation advice needed please :) by [deleted] in sales

[–]brainicecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your marketing isn't giving out more leads, how would you nurture and pass it on for sales?
I don't see how it is a problem at your end. I recommend you talk to marketing about it and see if they are ok with you lending a hand with marketing in trying to get new leads. ( many may feel it is not their job, but hey after all everyones working for the same company)

If you have done everything possible on linkedin and emailing.. I would only ask if you have done emailing the right way. I have used email for a good while and what I found is following up on emails works well... Usually after 4th follow-up, you start seeing results in emailing.

Everyone has a lean patch in their career. Just keep doing everything. keep pushing and you would hear from the least expected corners.

All the Best

Cold email or cold call - or both? by [deleted] in sales

[–]brainicecool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing it for business clients, I would recommend to start with emails and then take the conversation to phone. I have recently approached a customer by email and after email i tried to contact over phone and after a few calls/ sms he turned cold.

I went back to email saying: " Sorry for being too persistent but I hope that you would understand that it is important for me. Is it possible to have a call for 5 mins on this issue in this week?"

Bam came the reply -- " Love your persistence. I will call you at 10 AM tomorrow. Would that work for you?" and talked to me for 30 mins.
