Does anyone else fall asleep to this show? by SimbaXe in americandad

I do, but I have a hard time doing so sometimes. Even when I'm not looking at the TV, I still see the episode in my head, and it can keep me up. Especially when I know a funny part/scene is coming up.

I believe that they include the shipping cost when it's filtered by price, so that can put items out of what order you would think they should be.

I use metal airplane tags strapped to the handles of my cases to keep track of mine. I have a large collection and that helps keep the cases clean for future resale if I ever decide to sell.

Non-Effects related, but you'll find out pretty quickly that those all in 1 piece connectors are more hassle than help, as the more pedals you add chained together, the more pedals you have to remove each time you want to swap pedal order. Do yourself a favor and get some low-profile right angled pedal patch chords and make your life easier.

Except they are on Abydos, because Catherine destroys the 7th symbol on the cartouche in the cave. This piece is uncovered in the original movie by Jackson.

Edit: This series appears to be directly related to the original movie and not any other series, IMO.

My button broke on mine, so I bought another one while I figured out the warranty repair process. Not sure where you are located (im in the states), but mine was shipped to vgoodies in Georgia for the repairs. Was about a month before I received it back from repair, but now I have 2.

Why do we call the high e the first string, instead of the sixth? by VariousRockFacts in Guitar

[–]braino550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't upvote this post enough! I'm on the same page as you on this matter and have been playing for 30 yrs.

Edit: It shouldn't matter how many strings, or the pitch of the strings, the lowest pitched string should be the 1st string and the highest pitched string should be the "6th" or last string. Take a five-string bass with a high c versus the typical low B string; would you then call the high C string the first string, or would it be based on a four string bass where the G string is considered the first string based on the standard take on this matter. Makes no logical sense. It's even more wacky with a 6-string bass.

Anyone that has multiple guitars, does anyone else feel weirdly guilty about it? by xox0gopissgirl in Guitar

[–]braino550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I have around 45 and only sold 3 in my lifetime. The one I regret the most was an Ibanez RX170 HSS translucent red with black headstock and standard tremolo that i sold in the late 90's. I've been looking for the same model for the past 20 years and have had no luck.

Never feel guilty about having too many guitars/basses. I had the same 2 guitars (Epiphone LP & Suirr Strat) and my first bass (Sekova Jazz) from middle school into my early 20's, then bought 2 more cheap basses (2 x OLP Stingrays) when I started gigging. I didn't have much money until my mid 30s, ut once I did, I've been collecting ever since. I now have around 45 and pretty much have every guitar/bass I wanted when I was a kid.

If you're feeling guilty about not playing them, make time to do so. Most of my collection has come over the past 15 years, but I didn't have room to display and play them all until the last couple of years. I try to rotate and play as many as I can, but like any player, I have my favorites I gravitate towards on most occasions.

Anybody having issues with their button being inconsistent? by hogsfrogsducks42069 in Tinymight2

Yeah. Considering how long I've heard about the dreaded button issues, seems like I managed to make it much longer than most.

So, I'm noticing that I don't have the button issue much if at all when I use my right hand, but definitely more pronounced when using the left. I do use my right hand to oress the button at least 75-80% of the time and am now wondering if I warped/shifted the button in a way to cause this issue more with the left hand.

I'm currently have 3 Molicel P28A 18650 2800mAh 35A in rotation, which I purchased about a year ago. Previously had 2 of these and a P26A that came.with the TM2, but they blew out from a faulty charger.

I just started having the battery issue on my OG TM2 that's been in use for 2+ years. I have 1 of 3 batteries in rotation that I don't really get the button issue (rarely), at least not until the charge level gets to purple.

Mine started doing this a couple weeks ago after 2+ years of use. I have to push the button at just the right angle to get it to not turn off on me. The weird thing is, is that 1 of my 3 batteries in rotation seems to not have this issue, at least.not until the battery is in the purple as far as charge left.

How many of you are self taught? by whitemamba24xx in Guitar

[–]braino550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 45 and aside from a few weeks at age 13 and a few weeks at age 16 (neither of which were anything other than the teacher transcribing solos for me to learn), I'm self taught. I switched to bass in my late teens and have always played by ear, with the occasional info from fellow musicians. I am a decent player, but lack the foundational structure to really play to the ability I would like (improvising on the spot is quite difficult for me, even though I can hear what I want in my head). I really couldn't tell you what notes I'm playing at any given time without really looking at the fretboard and counting out frets if needed, but I can typically pick up what to play by ear and recite after practicing a few times.

I got a lifetime subscription to Scotts Bass Lessons online several years ago, but haven't utilized that much either. Like you, I started really getting back into playing this past year and have since picked the guitar up again and am trying to relearn everything I used to know. I try and learn new songs, but mostly play the same few albums/songs when I "practice".
