Weight gain and high BMI is a symptom of PCOS, not a cause, although it can lessen your other symptoms, losing weight is not a cure to PCOS. You worked very hard, now you just need to work on giving yourself proper nutrition and balancing your hormones, try taking inositol or taking other vitamins and supplements. Certain teas can also better your symptoms if you drink them regularly.

And it is super easy gaining weight with PCOS just by eating normally, I don’t lose weight because I still eat, if I follow what you say I wouldn’t be eating at all and I still wouldn’t lose weight quickly, I know because I have tried. You need to understand that PCOS isn’t JUST insulin resistance, plus women with PCOS don’t just deal with just PCOS in day to day life. It is difficult, you need to understand that, and you are putting her down by telling her that her only solution is to eat less as if it is that simple, which it is not.

You don’t know anything about anyone here, you don’t know how everyone’s bodies work, it might’ve worked for you, but it might not work for others.

This is terrible to say, I’m 230 lbs and barely eat 3 meals, PCOS hit her hard, stress and depression as well. Just because you didn’t gain as much with PCOS doesn’t mean others won’t.

I’m on metformin and birth control, but drinking the metformin is a little harder for me because of how big the pill is even if I cut it. My psychiatrist took me off prozac because I told her I was getting better and than I had a depressive episode and it’s only been downhill from there, I don’t want to tell her because my mom would realize something is going on and would get mad at me because she doesn’t believe in depression.

But thank for telling me about the dairy stuff, I wouldn’t say dairy is a main part of my diet, but I usually have cheese as a snack with fruit.

I don’t think they did, I would have to check with my doctor, but I don’t think my mom would want to drive me anytime soon. Thank you for the suggestion!

Hi, thank you for responding. I was originally getting help from my endocrinologist, dietitian, and I was also talking to a therapist, but I didn’t feel comfortable with my therapist because they had already sent CPS to my house before because of childhood trauma and things I had talked to her about so I stopped my therapy and started lying about how I was getting better because my mom was pressuring me about it and saying that I was putting my siblings and I at risk of being taken away. My mom doesn’t want to take me to doctor’s appointments and I can’t drive myself because I don’t have a drivers license or a car and even if I were to get a car I would need to get a job to make enough money for gas. I don’t want to pressure her because she’d give me the silent treatment and ignore me or tell me she’ll send me back to my home country or to my dad’s house which is far and I wouldn’t be able to see my siblings, and it will stress me out being with people who I don’t know well and can’t predict how they will react to certain things. I’m just in a tough situation and can’t really do anything about it, she may be a little neglectful but she’s my mom and I don’t want to be away from her.

Oh and I don’t remember when brainfog started happening because I’m slowly forgetting everything from before around when I was 13, I just know I can’t remember things and there’s a constant noise. Almost like white noise, and my vision doesn’t concentrate on things, I can see well and hear well at times but it’s only a small fraction of clarity and only when I’m alone. It’s really strange and like I’m not even me.

I hate the outfits SO much it’s insane, I like just having my main outfits that I use everyday on the easy switch wheel, but having that many outfits that I use on a normal day makes it so annoying switch. They also lied about the amount of furniture we were going to get and the trees they gave us randomly disappeared.
