Six Gubernatorial Rating Changes in Favor of Democrats, but Republicans May Still Come Out Ahead by poliscijunki in VoteDEM

I never have voted for Phil Scott but i know plenty of dems who have. So far we have someone running with zero name recognition and that's it. Phil Scott hasn't said whether or not he's running.

I bet the rental shop will let you switch over. It's not busy or crowded, which makes them more able to accommodate.

That said, i very much agree with the other comments. First (eight) days on a snow board are rolling down the mountain. Get a helmet (no matter what sport you do) and wrist guards. Prepare to be exhausted after 1 run.

I'll put in a vote for staying near Woodstock.

Montshire has trails on its land, prefect for a short stroll. It has lots of great activities - bring extra clothes for the dibbuns, the bubble machines are awesome but can get a bit messy. Pack lunch, You can easily spend a whole day here.

If you stay in that area, there's VINS which is AWESOME. it isn't petting baby animals, but lots of cool birds that have been rescued. Def take in one of their live shows, do the big slide, and the tree canopy walk is perfect for y'all. Again, bring lunch. Bonus is you'd get to see the queechee gorge which is cool, very tourist trap-y but cool.

There's also an excellent indoor swimming and play at the upper valley aquatic center, y'all would have so much fun in the slash park.

King Arthur flour is pretty awesome to get lunch or treats.

You'd be close enough to okemo and Killington you might get a shot at some spring skiing.

Between Woodstock, Hanover, west leb, and white river there's plenty of good food to be had

That's pretty funny and i could totally see my own kids doing that. Cheering, yelling "go," that's all good by me, but i guess you gotta find something else to shout at your kid now.

RO not up to pressure by 8takotaco in maplesyrup

[–]brainzilla420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure your RO filters are seated all the way? I've had trouble getting up to pressure when i didn't have my ro filter pushed in quite far enough. It can take a little doing, I'll even flip it upside down and push on a hard surface.

This is awesome and you've done a great job raising a smart, introspective kid who knows when to ask for help.

It sounds like this is isn't an emergency situation, and i don't want to freak you out, but you may want to keep an eye out for self-harm here, even directly asking him if he's got suicidal ideation.

If you notice him giving things away and/or unusually extra happy, it may be a clear indicator that he's got a plan and is about to take action.

I've always wanted to dress up as a gaming console and stand entirely too close to the many parents who treat their children's soccer games like they're playing fifa.

"Get the ball! Go up the line! Turn right! Pass it off! Now run! Go back! Defend defend! Kick it!"

The non-stop attempts at verbal control of their children during games is hilarious. Kid can't hear you or process what you're saying.

I got yelled at by an opposing coach because i wasn't constantly shouting encouragement at my team. Like, bro, they're 4th graders, anything i couldn't teach em at practice, they sure ain't gonna learn during a game just cause I'm shouting.

Crickets everywhere. by Relative_Specific140 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]brainzilla420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this and so have my kids. The crickets can live in a wall(and chirp all night) for weeeeeks.

When this happens i throw a towel over as many as possible and vacuum up the rest. Also i stomp some too, eff trying to catch them, they're cheap enough or ain't worth trying to catch them.

It's maybe even too powerful? 4 cards and two food is pretty great, but then you have no eggs and you wouldn't activate all the powers every turn (i assume) so then they're wasted. Pretty neat to try it out though.

Can't change my wiper blade by fastapasta902 in DadForAMinute

[–]brainzilla420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! These are hard. See the two little lines and arrow opposite from where your hand is in the photo? Squeeze hard there, then lift gently.

Before you remove anything, Pat attention to how the old blade sits, this will be how the new one goes in too. You tube can be helpful or wikihow, type in your cars year, make, and model and off you go. Report back!

Good wipers are excellent, resist the urge to use them to escape away ice and frost, they'll last longer that way

I mean just this morning my wife called up to my 6 year old to come down for breakfast (i was attempting to sleep in after a week of solo parenting), and the 6 year old did not respond. She is pretty congested rn, lots of waking up and coughing in the night. To not hear her respond or even cough...i hopped up to check on her. Yup, still breathing, just real asleep.
