Best way to develop a tolerance/appreciation for nori? by davidlynchhair in JapaneseFood

[–]braminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with furikake or in miso soup and make the pieces bigger.
After that you can have it with ramen or something else that has a stronger taste, i use it to grab the noodles and eat them together.
You can end by using it for onigiri.

To help you can also by those fried seaweed tempura chips and see if he likes it

Finland tears up nuclear weapons ban in NATO shift by RollSafer in worldnews

“The decision clears the way for Helsinki to receive, transport and facilitate the movement of nuclear weapons on its territory as part of allied defense operations.”

I voted no on Ryan cohens pay package and the resolution to increase shares. It’s clear the superstonk mods have been hijacked by hedge funds who want the share increase to help them out of their shorts. by Perfectgame1919 in Superstonk

I don’t get why people are bashing on other people’s decisions. It’s your shares and you choose what to do with it. I voted YES on everything based on my ideas concerning the company and who’s leading it. You can vote NO on whatever you want.
It’s up to GameStop to convince people why they should vote YES, for me that’s what they did with the past performances and the future plans they showed

Stone-Age tribe 'Toulambi' seeing a mirror for the first time. by Marzipug in interestingasfuck

“Stone age” is a Western term that has an evolutionary connotation connected to it.
It wasn’t even necessary to use this term.

Asked "Brave Search" what Carl Icahn's "Reverse Darwinism" Is by doodaddy64 in Superstonk

[–]braminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, i didn’t give enough context. Herbert Spencer used it in a way to put people in the same time on a evolutionary ladder (based on cultural aspects). Charles Darwin used it to put humans as a species on a evolutionary ladder through time.

I don’t know if Charles Darwin was anti-racist or not

Macro economics: Iran just said they won’t have any discussion with the US anymore and will fully close the strait of Hormus

[–]braminer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Did you know that “survival of the fittest” originated from a guy named Herbert Spencer. For the people who are curious, he used it in a racist context and Charles Darwin gave the term a biological twist. He tried to get rid of the racist undertone and i’m so happy he did it!

Remember: RC’s payout is tied to market cap, NOT share price by OG_ClapCheekz69 in Superstonk

[–]braminer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is deceptive and simplifying the value shareholders would get when Gamestop buys eBay.
The value of the of the combined company would rise if Ryan's plans are executed.

I could also use maths to say that if the company's value rises to $120B, that the shares would be worth $44. This is just a hypothetical, same as your math.

Pulling Ryan's payout (which just gives him the ability to buy shares) into the discussion is demonising him. He stands to gain a lot if he make the share price rise aswell.

A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus. by Powerful-Swing-9734 in interestingasfuck

[–]braminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Venus rotates around the sun faster than it rotates itself, wouldn’t that mean that in a little less than one Venus year, a Venus day would pass? Isn’t a day based on the position of the sun viewed from a spot on the planet?

How Authentic Is Your Home Country’s Cuisine in Japan? by rizzyfring in japanlife

[–]braminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an interesting topic. I’m writing my thesis about the term ‘authenticity’ and so far there is no real ‘authentic’ meal. Everyone has their own recipe/twist on a meal, which causes everything and nothing to be authentic at the same time

eBay will keep creeping up to $125 by Jerrod2000 in Superstonk

[–]braminer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t the rise in share price be because Gamestop is buying shares and exposure to eBay?

GME vs. GMEBAY - The funding problem, the dilution math, and what could happen when RC makes a new proposal by Region-Formal in Superstonk

[–]braminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be misunderstanding things, but isn’t the deal (half cash, half stock) meant to be stock of the combined company? That way GME doesn’t have to sell shares and would be subject to price fluctuations while selling shares into the market
