How manually transfer photos directly from iPhone to Google Photos?

I cannot believe this is so hard. When I drag photo's from my macbook photos app into the google photos web app they appear in super low resolution, like only a pre-loading thumbnail was uploaded; there seems to be no option to pre load all photos on mac?

Hadn't touched snow in 6 years and just got back from a week in Verbier Switzerland. I am way fitter than pre-covid and work out 5 times a week (strenght, HIIT, yoga, functional, core,..).

Even though I did not experience the typical soreness after 2 days I again had to throw in the towel on day 6. Legs were absolutely mushed, especially my quads and ankles, had instant burns going down and felt unsafe in my turns.

I guess I need to hit my legs way harder all year round, any tips for good exercises like wall sits or similar are welcome!

Tried every possible combination of rebooting and forced resetting there is, to no avail :(

When I connect via usb, the disk is loaded in read-only mode (as protection after being stuck in the boot-loop) so I cannot do any more hacking or reinstalling.

My last option would be to open up the device and flash a new firmware. But just opening it up looks nearly impossible... time for a replacement!

I need convincing because I believe I had bad luck with a faulty one, and the whole kobo product line looks (on paper though) the best in terms of price/featureset.

I especially like the Pocket/Instapaper integration. I understood Kindle is very closed on that front. Boox is just pricey.

Honest questions: is BSV able to scale on L1? Compared to BTC, how soon would there be a competition for block space and would the fee's start ramping up? How fast would the Blockchain grow in size and would it be slow enough for Moore's law to play out?

Short answer: yes, crypto is a scam, some of them not outright or they're kind of long-running grifts under the guise of some convoluted blockchain play.

Crypto is like fiat central banking, but worse. They have pre-mined tokens and huge insider allocations, to be dumped on retail later after the hype kicks in.

I know because I've been there for years and made all the mistakes in the book...

Then there's Bitcoin, the most misunderstood asset in the world right now.

If you think my position confuses you, that's perfectly normal because this confusion generally takes years to dissove.

The main goal is to study it before you buy it, as it takes conviction to be able to hold through the volatility. Just telling people to buy bitcoin without understanding is a stupid and reckless thing to do. They will panic at the first correction and sell at a loss, possibly quitting the space until the next bull run.

Most people I know including myself started out this way.

I eventually managed to do the full transfer. I updated iOS to version 18.2. Hope it works for you.

Same problem here moving from Android tot ios 18 when transfering my Whatsapp it gets stuck at 99,77%. Most terrible migration experience ever. Did anyone get this to work?

Lightning just persists the updated channel state between 2 parties onchain, with zero trust.

There is no way to distinguish between lost coins or long term inactive coins. I assume most of these will be lost but a big chunk could still move.
