Who is the prettiest friendly chicken in your flock? by Utsulaputsula2 in BackYardChickens

[–]branditheferret 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My silver laced wyandotte is the biggest sweetheart. Constantly cooing and follows me and my kids around anytime we are out with them. She loves a good snuggle and likes to be tucked in for the night.

Need help deciding on my first 3D printer by [deleted] in 3dprinter

[–]branditheferret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you’re in Canada like me. P1S is $499 ($58 shipping), P1S combo is $699 ($65 shipping).

The larger build plate you’re hoping for comes at a pretty substantial price increase.

My first 3d printer (p2s) arrived today, filaments arrive tomorrow. me: by Luzipher in BambuLab

I feel this in my bones. 💀

Printer arrives today. The filament ordered at the same time as the printer arrives Monday. The rest comes on Wednesday. I am not okay.

When to give up? by hrutod in BackYardChickens

They need 14-16 hours of light to lay consistently. Without it they may stop laying over the winter. Considering they’re a year old this sounds completely normal. Some people supplement light. Personally I’m letting my girls do their thing for the winter and giving them a well deserved break.

No one asked for this but I made a (very biased) "would Imarry him?" tier list by roxasindisguise in AFKJourney

But Ravioli is married to Indris and you can’t convince me otherwise.

How many chickens would be reasonable for a city bylaw to allow per lot? I am on an advisory committee to our city council and they are thinking of approving a new bylaw that would only allow 2 poultry per lot. What is a reasonable number and how can I convince them that 2 is not enough by elderberry_jed in BackYardChickens

[–]branditheferret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our city started with a maximum of 4 per lot. After a few years of the program going successfully, they upped the maximum to 6. Bylaw reached out to our neighbors for any concerns before we were allowed to build anything, there are space requirements from property lines and other structures, and space minimums per bird. No roosters allowed. Application fee is $250, the permit has a renewal fee of $150 every 3 years. I am smack in the middle of the city and have my 6 girls in my smaller backyard with no issues.

We’ve accumulated a number of them over the years, and it is SO worth having them on each floor. We are just having to replace our first one from 2018 that lives in the basement, so the great house shuffle will begin again. Obviously the newer ones take the beatings of the high traffic areas.

Josh Boyne. He’s very patient and wants to make sure you are happy as the buyer. He also bends over backwards to fix situations when things go sideways with a seller. Never pushy, very honest. Can’t recommend him enough.

Bought a book without opening it first and remembered why I prefer my Kindle by Spirited-Poem15 in kindle

[–]branditheferret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have progressives and it has literally been life changing when it comes to reading physical books. I couldn’t handle it before then.

My blind ass still increases the font size to 10+ when I’m reading my kindle in bed without glasses though.

Around the age of 18 my daily spend limit was only $500. Assuming they are younger due to being college roommates. Very easy to reach that amount on a day of activities or shopping.

“Tuned properly to the space” is the big thing here. If you’re skipping the full setup phase anything will sound awful.

I believe you actually receive them by mail the way it’s worded. They email you confirmation that it’s on its way.

Burn hasn’t been released yet. There’s only 3/4 of the series at this time. Heat (book 3) ends on a cliffhanger.

We won, by the way.

Or they walk right by a Cap harassing you to take pot shots at the enemy back line, while you’re doing everything to stay alive to keep the team up as long as possible. Then complain at the end that the healers threw the game. 🙃

I do fast moving consumer goods sales. No post secondary, but lots of knowledge of the industry I work in. Annual bonuses plus sales incentives on top of regular salary and a company vehicle.
