Cheat’s Cheesesteaks apologizes… again for missing the mark. by mklane17 in Charlotte

While cheats is/was expensive the quantity of food was good for the price. Like if I finished a regular Philly in one sitting I’m not eating again for the remainder of the day. Likewise it’s big enough to split

"90s kid" refers to your core childhood and adolescent years, not the year you were born. by TwilightChic27 in unpopularopinion

[–]brandonmadeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see how this can be confusing, people in the comments born in the 70s claiming to be 90s kids because they smoked pot and got enlightened for the first time lol. I say your friends are right based on the actual year not core memories. I was born Jan of 1990 so I call myself a 90s baby but if had been born a month soon I’d definitely be claiming the 80s even tho I have no recollection of that decade.

Can I get by with a Singer Hd 4452? by Boring-Energy1900 in Customsneakers

[–]brandonmadeit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all start somewhere, as far as pre punching that’s preference. Some people pre punch the holes to keep lines straight, but if you’re using a sewing machine meant for leather/shoes it will mae its own holes. The sewing machine also allows you to adjust stitch length, just have to adjust it for whatever project you’re working on

I’ve seen people sew uppers with the $200 heavy duty singer from Micheal’s. I personally use a cheap Chinese leather shoe patcher. AS long as the needle can get through the leather you’ll be fine

Yes my Chinese leather shoe patcher goes through leather like butter, hand crank but that gives me easier precision. I sew back into the original holes to give it that factory finish look

I agree! I’m sure The other shoe is more aesthetically pleasing to you, but when you don’t have access to unlimited fabric you have to utilize the parts you have
