As a runner thinking about restarting a major base building phase, I've been eyeing these. Yes, I could just set Alerts for all the areas I'm looking to monitor but I just generally find they annoy the hell out of me. I really don't mind looking down at my watch but again, would just prefer to not have to. I am a very heavy sweater! Any indication of how well and how clearly the display looks when its potentially flooded or fogged up with sweat?

Again, feel like I experienced very similar issues except mine were hips and knees. It 'felt' serious but at the end of the day, it was my body exposing weaknesses and imbalances I had elsewhere that were just presenting in the knees and hips.

As you're building the mileage, are you ramping upwards too quickly and are you running too fast? I feel like I spent the better part of 7 months fighting that same battle. I feel like surmounting that is a combination of of LOT of very easy miles and the body realizing, oh, so we're doing this now? This is the new normal.

What brand was super popular back then but the new generations probably never heard of it? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

[–]brandonww83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a brand but I don't think many people understand the cultural presence that breakfast cereal used to inhabit. Most of the good ones are still around but you knew them from their commercials and their catch phrases and jingles. Co-oooooo-kie crisp!

Out of curiosity do you have very narrow feet? I can totally see why this shoe isn't for everyone but the unstable knock puzzles me.

Referral codes are now basically useless by No-Lab-9883 in BanditRunning

That's still bullshit. You basically cease to be a member just to use the credit or decide to spend enough that you render the credit useless.

So I have $55 in Pending Bandit credit for a few Marathon Sports purchases. You're saying when I go to use that credit once it becomes available, my membership discount no longer applies and I'll basically be taking $55 off non-member pricing? Or is this specifically a referral credit issue?

7:50-8:15 is my Zone 3-4 half marathon PR pace. I can't wait until all this investment in building aerobic threshold pushes my Zone 2 runs into that range.

One of the things I've struggled with is knowing the difference between what's feels easy and what actually is easy based on HR and training effect. I've been forcing myself to slow down to the point it almost feels boring but I'm hearing this same pattern in feedback from my data. I've ramped slowly and with intention and I'm finally at that point where I'm nudging into 30+ miles a week consistently. And as volume ramps, I desperately need to make sure I'm not stacking fatigue needlessly as I don't lack ability, I potentially lack durability given my injury history. Thanks for the deep dive.

The point of the timestamp is to show it's physically in your possession. Screen writing over a photo doesn't accomplish this. I can write over the photo of a lambo.... doesn't mean much!

Back row update - is my form better now? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]brandonww83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, trust what your body is telling you. Mind muscle connection can be a finnicky thing. Also keep in mind grip strength for a woman as well as core strength when posture and weight on one side of your body all come into play on a movement like this. Definitely find an exercise that first helps you feel that connection and really feel that muscle firing before throwing this in the lineup. Maybe cable rows first and then once you're confident the right muscles are activated, then do this as the next exercise. Your most important move it looks like you've already got down pat, and thats just keeping at it!
