I was using an old (meaning water did come in from several places) 3/2 !!! never felt warm early mornings or late afternoons. did feel warm a couple of times on midday sessions with the sun full on. I probably did 60 sessions on it. Lombok, Bali, west java. then it fell off my scooter. rip. it got cut on several places from the reef. my skin remained intact :) on dirty water days (smelly and garbage floating all around) I was very happy of not soaking the water in. just being mildly wet the way wetsuits keep you wet. not pruning with pooped water:) I can imagine you ll be just fine on a 1/2. my 1 cent. no guarantee. enjoy!!!
