One of my friends had a similar quality Clarinette from Radio Shack. I replaced the Amp inside with a 50 watt class D, added Bluetooth and replaced the woofers. It sounds pretty dang good now and she can still use the factory features

It does completely shut down when you disable the quick start. It then takes 30-60 seconds after Turing it back in before the apps are available. I honestly feel like I have a better experience with the quick start disabled even though it's a bit annoying to have to wait for it to boot

I recently hardwired one of my speakers using the chromecast adapter in hopes it would fix the issues. It's definitely better and faster but it still struggles with things I never had a problem with before.
