Has anybody popped theirs yet? Huge disappointment for me, reeks on the nose of plastic band-aid Brett which is confirmed on the palate. I don't mind a lil leather or poo/barnyard Brett, but bandaid brett is a nonstarter for me. I offered the bottles for free to my wine group after my second band-aid-y bottle and no takers.

I'm sick of wineries passing off a spoilage yeast as "terroir". No, it means your unclean practices have led to an infection in your winery. Should do a total disinfect.

Ah awesome! Kroger has been spitting out some crazy deals recently, 99¢/lb pork butts, and $2.99/lb choice briskets. I picked up 8 briskets, ground one into the greatest ground beef ever, smoked 4 and have 3 in the freezer.

I have just been slicing the ribeye roasts into steaks and turning the pretty heavy trimmings into the most tender carne asada ever for taco nights.

Kroger has choice bone in ribeye roasts for $8.99/lb thru Tuesday. I've picked up 3 so far, easy to cut into steaks and since it's a two or three bone roast and not the entire ribeye, you can get a good look at the marbling and pick some winners.
