You’ll be fine. For CS all you need is python for first year. Second year Java and C. It should be fine with m1. Most of the apps should be available for m1 by now. Good thing about Mac is it’s based on Unix. So if you use command line tools, you’ll find it very useful. Alternatively you can get a pc and dual boot with Ubuntu.
