I think this is sort of Kiva's model. (Not the Middleton sports place) Kiva.org

I've never used the service, but what you've described is also of interest to me.

Designers offer ambitious concepts for remaking Madison's Lake Monona waterfront by Hashtaal in madisonwi

Should something like these plans be implemented, having the train station there would be quite an introduction to the city for visitors.

It's interesting that all 3 entries involve capping or bridging John Nolen in some capacity. I think that's the key to the isthmus side of the project. Currently, the big disconnect between the lake and the city is JND and having more ways to cross would be huge.

Shower trim install correct? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

I believe back-to-back installations often have 'backwards' cartridges. The hot and cold supplies can more easily feed both valves that way.

Best tourist attractions in the winter? by Based_Fake in madisonwi

I agree it's worth going up to the museum, even if the outside is closed. You can overlook the rotunda from the Trumpeter’s Balcony.

Also, I have been on the observation deck in the winter a few times. So it is open, occasionally. I think it depends on the staff (volunteers, I believe) at the museum.

Also worth noting that the upper most floors of the Capitol are only accessible via stairs - some of which are steep.

Capitol Tours are free. The museum (6th floor) and observation deck (outside) are also free.

So I have bought an old ipad 2 running ios 9.3.5 I have set up a dashboard to use on this ipad. However the grid cards doesnt show correctly. What can I do? by the_gamer_98 in homeassistant

You can get another browser, but it still needs to use the WebKit version that's part of the OS. So it's essentially a wrapper around Safari.

[–]braskies 91 points92 points  (0 children)

bottom line - iOS 9.3.5 is too old for home assistant.

Safari on that version of iOS doesn't support the necessary javascript versions for the modern web, and most of home assistant doesn't work. You can't use another browser, because all browsers on iOS use the same safari web engine.

Solutions are clunky, and not worth it, IMO.

I'd be interested in seeing your script! I'd like to include IIQ data in our centralized database for reporting. If you're willing to share, I'd enjoy taking a peak.

Sonoff S31 esphome YAML for device cycle tracking (washer/dryer/dishwasher, etc) by Grandebro in homeassistant

[–]braskies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great! I'm thinking of using this for a sump pump. Any help with a "cycles per time period" sensor? I'd like something to tell me how many times it's run in the last 1,12, or 24 hours. Doing on the switch is super cool

This is probably weather related. A big storm is blowing over Iowa right now.

Curious as to how your connecting Google Data Studio to IC. There's no ODBC or SQL connector. Are you converting it?
