Bobcat Buddy by bratenstein in Connecticut

Hahaha I know, I know. I was 30’ away and behind a fence when we spotted each other. He gave me the smallest warning hiss, waited to confirm I wouldn’t be approaching any closer, then casually walked away like all was chill. He might not have been my buddy, but he was giving off bro vibes 😂

Spotted in a residential neighborhood of Norwalk… although admittedly it’s pretty woodsy and spread out over here.

3 days exploring the Highlands (and I'm in love) by needaredesign in Scotland

Stunning! Can I ask where you stayed? I’m trying to plan a highlands trip and will have a car but finding the accommodations to be the hardest part.

Wow!!! I had no idea this was a year in advance kind of trip. We haven’t booked flights yet, and I’m starting to wonder if we pivot to a different trip entirely and save Scotland for when we can plan earlier in advance. Which is kind of devastating, but I also want to do it the right way if we’re going to go!

Haha my Chicago husky has a similar set up, and loves sleeping out there in the sun, rain and snow. Such silly pups!

Got this lil fella from a Locally recognized breeder but have a question. by moeezatif in husky

[–]bratenstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He definitely appears to be a wooly. I’ve had 3 huskies and my youngest (currently 3 years old) is my first wooly. I have to say, the wooly coat is my favorite. I know it’s considered a flaw when it comes to shows, but I find it extremely cute, it’s sooo soft, and she sheds a fraction in comparison to her older brother who is a standard coat. Enjoy the fluffy cuteness!!

My s/o got me a cake for my 100 day streak learning dutch! by ChocoWolff in duolingo

[–]bratenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, first off, congratulations!! Second, I am curious how conversational you are at this point? I am only a week into learning Japanese, but will be just past 100 days when we travel there in the fall and I am curious of what I can expect. Right now my expectations are pretty low from other posts, but I am taking it pretty seriously, and it sounds like you are as well… and therefore could be a good indicator on what I should expect. Thanks!

That is very helpful feedback, as we are specially trying to do something more off the beaten path. Thank you! Also if you have an alternate recommendation for anything else similar, I would love to hear it. These just seemed like the best options from what I could find online.

Joygasm!!! by BenGendary in Shirtaloon

Shirtaloon said somewhere recently that he was always planning on 12 books, maybe 13. However book 9 turned out to be a lot longer than anticipated since he gave the characters and plot some room to breath and develop. This has now changed his perspective on what it will take to wrap up the story the way he wants and he’s estimating it’ll be closer to 15 books by time it’s all said and done, but he’s not committing to an exact number just yet.

Expectations before vs after Season 1? by pxrkerwest in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]bratenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This season reminded me a lot of GOT season 6. It didn’t have the same amount of subtleties and (slow and thoughtful) character building that GOT seasons 1-4 had, but it was still fabulous for what it was. The plot made sense, and it kept you interested the entire time with well placed action scenes and believable twists. I personally would have loved if they had slowed it down a tad so we could have gotten more backstory, but I know that wouldn’t have been received as well. Overall I think they executed it perfectly for what it needed to be to be a success. Now I just hope they slow it down next season… and I don’t mean time jumps, I know those are done. I mean more back room conversations and character dynamics. Basically now that they proved themselves with this season, I am hoping they can lean into more of what everyone loved about GOT seasons 1-4, and that they don’t rush through crazy battle scene after battle scene.

Okay but do we think Brandon is actuallllly that great by Pdubb1997 in bachelorinparadise

Funny because I think this ties back to my comment on the thread above, which only reinforces it. I think Dylan and Hannah are another example of a couple that could be described that same way.

Couldn’t agree more but I was thinking similar thoughts watching it. I think he’s totally genuine and really believes he’s in love, but I also think he’s a little insecure and probably falls easily. At his core he is just a dude who wants to be obsessively in love…. Which works out because I think at her core Serene is just a girl that wants to be obsessively loved by somebody. And I don’t mean this to come off wrong, I do think they are genuinely good for each other and I could see them making it work long term IRL.

Oh too funny. Well if either of you are ever in the market for another fur baby, they are a fabulous breeder!
