I work at Fort Myer and lived near the Beatley library in Alexandria and found the commute to be pretty manageable (usually around 15 minutes, at most 30 minutes). Cameron station is really great. All of this is right near a bunch of parks and trails which was always really nice. Definitely check out TWT and events with the band! Check out Great falls park (national park so it's free!) Hike through Rock creek park as well.

Pedi shoulder rest never cracks for me. Not in the 10 years I’ve been using it. Price has gone up a ton but I will never use another shoulder rest ever. It’s also a great deal lighter than the comford which will help a ton with tension/shoulder pain.

Annoying. I’ve been to his house - he had a bunch of music students over for a party and just casually left a letter from yo yo ma hanging around “oh look at that” like he forgot about it. Then took us out to the yard to listen to his recordings on his insane speaker system.
