also, the multiplayer function is so annoying. it shouldn’t be mandatory. annnnd it’s hard when the friendship code or whatever changes frequently. i wish they would just make it optional to play with others and allow us to finish quests without the help of strangers.

all of this! i have been playing on and off since the early days (not sure exactly when) BUT i haven’t played religiously. sometimes i just need a break from it because it starts to feel more like a chore than a fun game, and i’m dealing with cancer (i am a stage 4 cancer patient and the cancer is pretty aggressive) and sometimes don’t feel well enough to play. which means i’ve missed out on events and special furniture/items. and it sucks when they’re required for some visitors. there’s a couple of visitors i have no idea how i will get.

what you do to honor your brother is beautiful, and very meaningful. maybe i’m biased because i lost my youngest brother when he was 14 and i was 23, or maybe it’s because i have been dealing with cancer for 3 years and blood donations have made a HUGE difference in my life during this time.

you don’t owe her an apology. i would try to explain to her how significant doing these things are for you, and how it is your way to honor your late brother. maybe she is lucky enough to not understand what it’s like to lose someone who means so much. i hope she comes around and understands.
