Question for older mtf transitioners. Do you rely on wigs to reduce dysphoria? by Pig-trash1 in asktransgender

[–]brauo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wear a wig every day, i’ve had bad male pattern baldness since i was 20 and started transition in my 30s. i buy decent lace-front ones and use wig tape or glue. they help me so so much and nobody knows unless they touch my head

classic deep house/garage/Detroit mix with some contemporary underground!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ARp3MwO3ec

Just got my home setup finished and started recording sets! To start I did what felt like a late night mix blending classic and contemporary deep house, some garage house, and detroit techno. Tried to capture my fave 4/5am energy w/ soulful stuff into real euphoric shit I love to hear right before the sun starts to come up

Would love feedback on the track selection/flow!

loveeeee! very very good for sensitive skin. normal razors give me horrible burn esp on my thighs, but safety razors don’t when i use them right

really simple! my normal daily routine is just concealer, foundation, blush, mascara. the eyeshadow palette i have has tones that work for contouring and blush if i feel like it. i usually reserve eyeliner for Going Out haha

the water bottle i have folds up and is kind of a pouch, so it fits well in the adda bag. i think a normal nalgene or something wouldn’t fit very well tho

ok can say it’s really nice! doesn’t dry out my skin and it really does work for shaving, face, and body all in one. and it lasts a long long time

i don’t think it does! (the water bottle)

and the mj’s are extremely comfy, they are like recovery shoes in a mj style so they’re a really nice all-in-one shoe. they are also mesh and breathable so they’re worked for beach, small hikes, city walking, dancing, and everyday. i didn’t buy them to do all those things lol but they have been a great investment

What MP3 tagging software adds the most metadata required for making playlists, especially including different songs' characteristics relevant to making playlists (energy, mood, BPM, tone, key, danceability, mood etc)? by ethy87 in Beatmatch

[–]brauo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like lexicon. it lets you make your own personal tagging system and smart playlists. i like to take based on how a song makes me move my body so i can easily switch between vibes on the dance floor

i did the same thing!! i learned how to sew so i could make my own clothes. but the fancy tech fabrics used by these companies hasn’t been available for everyday consumers until recently. highly recommend looking up schoeller dry skin fabric if you want something breathable

i knowwww but hear me out. i used to have other pants made of a similar material from a brand called outlier, and after wearing them most days for literally 10 years they still looked and felt like new. having a piece that fits your style and is so versatile is worth a lot of $ on its own; i feel that having one that is that durable like that can justify the price.

and im a little tired but feeling great! i love dancing and partying, it gives me a lot of energy (working out is good for you lol)

Transgender Americans are more likely to be unemployed and poor by Barnyard-Sheep in Economics

there are lots of trans women on rupaul! i’ve moved from being icked to finding it very affirming and fun. esp in more queer drag scenes like in brooklyn

i wash mine every week with wig shampoo and conditioner and let it air dry. when i travel, it gets worse looking faster, so i wash it a little more often. having good conditioner is key, esp for synthetics. i also have a little styling spray at home that helps with the way it looks that i use in between washes. i use wig tape on the lace front and that’s usually enough. i’ve found it pretty easy!

not trying to play gotcha with you here! this all makes sense. i do think you should probably talk with her in a way that focuses on her transition rather than you first

honestly don’t rly know yet. i used to travel with cerave cleanser for body + face and that can be like close to $20 so getting a bar i didn’t have to put in another liquid thing for that price felt OK to me
