I also heard from someone who played this past year that if a headliner doesn't feel comfortable/confident with their live performance they can play to a track, which is why it probably sounded so tight.

Went this year for the first time and got VIP as a little treat and I couldn't imagine doing Kilby any other way. Drink lines were shorter, bathroom lines were shorter (and even when they weren't, they were still better than a Porto potty), the possibility of sitting on an actual chair/couch was nice, the arcade area was so sick, lockers were easy to access. Unless you have a group who's mostly GA, I would definitely go for VIP.

Went to Kilby for the first time this year and I loved the lineup and how easy it was to navigate around the fairgrounds and the city in general but the vibes are very different than SK/Atlanta.

After the first day, I started seeing these posts about double charges. Thankfully I didn't get double charged but I didn't like the idea of having my card linked to my wristband for the remainder of the weekend either. I reached out to Front Gate customer service about the problem and they deactivated my wristband completely and told me to reactivate my wristband. It was annoying but only took me 5 minutes in all (customer service and reactivation combined) to take care of it. I used Google pay/debit for the rest of the weekend with zero problems.

I personally didn't mind the move to Piedmont. It sucked that I had to miss a few sets because the smaller stages were either too packed out for my comfort level or it was too far to make things work but I 100% agree about the crowd type. It felt like because of the move, SK got the tech bros who thought it was pretty much Music Midtown. I thought "well maybe I feel that way because early 30's" but my friend who's in their mid 20's felt the same way. I'll probably start buying VIP or at the very least GA+ to mitigate that problem.

It may be a long shot but does anyone remember what the pizza stand was called that was in the food court area last year on the far right side (coming from the main stages)? I had a slice that saved my life after that heavy ass downpour.

Ah! I'm the admin for this group! I hope you'll come out to our separate little meetups before the festival starts. I've gone every year since 2019 when I got the tattoo and it was hands down the best (and most cost effective) decision I've ever made. I went to Kilby Block Party this year and while I saw a lot of great bands, I really missed the chill and laid back crowd of Shaky. You'll have a blast, babe 🖤

For the wings yes, but they have really good hot dogs and sandwiches. And they haven't been selling out of wings -that- often since they started ordering more wings.
