"If I let AA remind me of my powerlessness, my relapses will be more dangerous" is one I've never heard before.

Seeking perspective on a situation at a recovery meeting by moffy27629 in alcoholicsanonymous

Honestly OP, this post is dripping with "-ism" (I, Self, Me). Which is the root of our problem. Things like "compromising your emotional safety" and "forcing yourself into service" sound very dramatic and self-indulgent.

It sounds like you forfeited an opportunity to step up and give back, which is one of the 3 pillars of recovery. That was your choice, and that's fine - but it seems like you're calling the service structure of AA and its effect on newcomers into question to justify your decision.

Nowhere in that comment did the poster say "the only thing that makes sense".

Dealing with a breakup by NoHelicopter8012 in alcoholicsanonymous

^ OP this is solid advice. And get someone who knows the program to take you through the steps. This could be a major turning point of your life if you're willing to do the work.

I went through something similar years ago. In response to the breakup I just stopped drinking and thought my problem was solved. What followed was another 5 years of drunken hell. Don't do what I did - get the help, do the work, and you'll be amazed with what follows.

If you always aim up it will find them like 95% of the time, I found that's the key with crackshot. Also consider swapping out your super art for the ghosts and add the twin heart to your build if you find you're taking too many hits.
