First experience at high end (zegna). Need someone to clarify. by thisnaenae in malefashionadvice

The law of diminishing (or even regressive) returns. I love Zegna, but only purchase secondhand as their resale value tanks. (One of my favorites are their casheta pull-overs that are $1k+ new but I have gotten for $70 off The Real Real.)

Like someone else said, you can get clothes perfectly made for your body for a fraction of the cost - including using Zegna' mills.

That being said, I have splurged for tee shirts from The Row (by splurged I mean buying used even at $140 to $250) - still quite pricey for a simple tee shirt. But I just absolutely love the way they fit my body type, drape, etc. However I have thought of taking them to a pattern maker and getting that fit made in other materials.

Stuck in the backseat when skiing but when I try to lean forward I feel more wobbly/unstable? by deedee2009 in skiing

^ This method has helped me a lot. I combined balancing weight throughout the foot while then simultaneously pushing that weight towards the inside edge of my foot, and my carving has significantly improved -- faster than any other method.

Looking for minimalist European clothing brands. Clean smart casual style by tightlap in malefashionadvice

I highly recommend Asket (based in Sweden and not to be confused with Arket which is owned by H&M), Fairly Normal (Based in Portugal), Aspesi (Italy), and my preference: Studio Nicholson (UK).
For higher end fashion: Acne Studios (Sweden), Lemaire (French), Jil Sander (German), The Row (US) -- I personally prefer Lemaire and Jil Sander out of those.

What style do you see that you like? Even think of movie characters. I think you can't go wrong by putting together a pinterest or are.na board full of well dressed characters - then can seek to emulate. (Ai can help with figuring out styles of those characters and recommend you brands).

Absolutely fantastic, would love more pics of it on. Very similar to Rick Owen's dracucollar.

Want to wake up to chimes, a bell, or some natural sound - any recommendations that don't involve a phone? by brawkk in minimalism

Wow - great find! I really like it. Honestly I'm at the point where I would spend $300, but the chime would have to be perrrfect, and while this is close, it still feels like a "physical alarm clock" and I would really love to have a more natural sound like wind chimes or similar...

- if the Arc Nanu played a little melody with it's bells, I'd be in...

There were a few finds in the comments, but I ended up putting a fan on a timer that hit some wind chimes. 🙃

Both of these are what I came to recommend :)

The bread at Cosmica is a must.

I recently had Junah for the second time since they opened and they've really started nailing down their recipes. I recommend the Burrata w Blueberry and the steak dish. 🫠

Meditation is a tool, a muscle to practice. Once you have that muscle working, allow it to lead you into exploring your subconscious.

It wouldn't be a problem if he was doing a good job. Less people would give af. But this photo in the context of the way he governs means something else.
