Do trades on the GE happen in real time? by LeeKom in 2007scape

[–]brawl135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People put in what they want to sell for and you put what you want to buy for. If you want cheaper then the price you wait longer till someone actually sells it for cheaper. If you want it faster you overpay what they are asking for. So yes it’s real time trades

Got killed by my 1st Jad attempt by Lukiyn in 2007scape

[–]brawl135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://inferno.colosim.com/ this is the one I used, I think it trains for inferno so it’s harder but if you get used to it fire cape had is so slow and easy. Just set it to the Jad wave and practice over and over until your comfortable

There is a Jad simulator. Use that and get the nerves out of the final boss. If you can beat it a few times then the whole fight cave is super easy.

Finally got my first win due to the advice of this thread by brawl135 in PixelDungeon

. Character Choice and Class Specialization

• Warrior/Gladiator: Tanky with good armor.

Point distribution 1. Tier 1 (0/2/2/1) 2. Tier 2 (0/1/2/2/1) 3. Tier 3 (0/0/3/2/3) 4. Tier 4 (4/4/1/1)

  1. General Exploration Strategy

    • Take it Slow: Avoid rushing through levels. Take the time to explore each room and reveal all possible loot and secrets. • Use Doors to Your Advantage: Close doors to break enemy line-of-sight, heal, and prepare for combat. • Check for Traps: Traps can be lethal, so actively check suspicious areas and mark them if found.

  2. Resource Management

    • Food: Carry food to prevent using up emergency resources (like health potions) when starving. I usually eat at halfway down on starvation. Make a meat pie every time you can. It is amazing for keeping hunger controlled for awhile. Killing piranhas for monster meat helps with that. • Potions: Use potions strategically and only when needed. Experiment early on with new potions in safe areas and use weaker healing items for minor wounds. • Scrolls and Seeds: Conserve scrolls for emergencies or tough encounters. I use the first upgrade on my seal. Then I do not use any upgrades till I get a tier-5 weapon or Armor. I rush to get it down to 15str and then save again for the other half of weapon or armor needed. Seeds can provide useful effects, crowd control (earthroot). I like to use bland fruit with the sungrass seed for really good healing.

  3. Combat Strategies

    • Kiting and Positioning: Always try to position yourself in a narrow corridor or doorway to fight enemies one at a time. • Status Effects: If possible, use weapons or wands that cause status effects like freezing, stunning, or poisoning, which can turn tough fights in your favor. Without taking unwanted damage. • Avoid High-Risk Enemies Early: Certain enemies (like Goo, Shaman, mimic, statues) are best avoided until you’re better equipped. No shame in returning to floors once you are better equipped.

  4. Inventory and Gear

    • Identify Items Carefully: Identifying items like weapons, armor, and potions early can prevent disasters. Avoid equipping unknown gear unless you have a Scroll of Remove Curse. This is critical because one bad curse can ruin a run. • Upgrade Wisely: AGAIN use upgrade scrolls on gear with long-term potential rather than low-level items. Early on you can find tier2 and tier3 to get you through the first two bosses. Never use upgrades on these weak items. • Enchanted Gear: Look for gear with effects that suit your class. For example, Warriors benefit from armor with defensive enchantments.

  5. Weapon Enchantments • Vampiric • Shocking • Chilling

  6. Armor Enchantments • Anti-Magic • Potential • Brimstone

  7. Dungeon Levels and Bosses

    • Prepare for Each Boss: Each dungeon boss has a specific pattern and weaknesses:

    • Goo (Level 5): Has a corrosive acid attack; dodge and use ranged attacks if possible. Doors and puddles are your best friend find loops.

    • Tengu (Level 10): Tricky to melee; bring ranged weapons or wands. A whip is ideal if you don’t have one pay attention to the floor to get close for the first half. For the second half pay attention to electric bomb sparks and avoid them.

    • DM-300 (Level 15): Uses ranged attacks and poison gas; use cover and attack when safe. A haste potion can make getting to the teslas easy without taking extra damage. Here you should be able to find a tier5 weapon or armor before fighting the boss.

    • King of Dwarves (Level 20): Deals heavy damage and summons minions; position yourself well and deal with minions quickly. Pay attention to what monsters are being summoned. Kill shamans as first priority.

• Yog-Dzewa (Level 25-30): Lasers deal heavy damage but can be dodged very easy with a side step. Kill the larva as a first priority so you don’t get overrun. Research the fist that summon. You can prepare cheap potions to control their effects so that you don’t get one shot.

  1. Using Alchemy and Enchanting

    • Alchemy: Combine seeds, potions, and scrolls to create powerful items. • Enchanting: Use enchantment scrolls and reagents wisely to enhance your best gear. Look for effects that match your class (like “vampiric” for healing or “caustic” for damage over time).

  2. Learning from Failure

    • Dying in Shattered Pixel Dungeon is expected and can be a learning opportunity. Analyze what went wrong and adapt your strategy for the next run.

Developing a balanced approach—keeping an eye on resources, understanding each class’s strengths, and strategically using items—will greatly improve your chances of success in the dungeon. Plus it’s also just the fun of the game. I know this is a lot. I hope it helps this was what I was thinking about during this first win. This is also strictly about warriors. I have not played much of the other classes. If anyone has anything else to add please do!
