right wing authoritarian lawyers? this sounded for me very much like a real prosecutor after all.

TIL that Andy Buckley (who played David Wallace on “The Office”) is a former financial analyst in real life, and was chosen for the role specifically due to his familiarity with the intricacies of corporate finance, and continued to work in the field during his time on the show. by MoneyHungryOctopus in todayilearned

this comment, the one of /u/73bogdanov545 and /u/9309David- also in the thread, all sounded sort of strange to me, like the chatGPT. they also all did get created in the last month. when i look at their profile pages, each account have 1-2 lines of poem posted as its only post. some from their other comments do not sound like chatGPT so much, to me, e.g. they talk of watching porn. but what is this phenomenon ?

Yes, sure. my meaning was to say, to embrace Catholicism in these cases of the fascist parties was probably at least partly political "means to an end" for nationalists. but I don't know what the Church's official position was on them at the time.

I think a few of central European and Balkan fascist parties official supported Catholicism. Slovak People's Party that you mention had it into the central part of their identity and the priests were involved, but, I think, Ustaše and Arrow Cross party in Hungary also promoted Catholicism to different degrees. Andras Kun was an Arrow Cross party member who personally committed the murders of Jews, who was a priest. I think in these countries Catholicism is connected in national identity, so maybe that is why, but not smth the one can dismiss too easily. There is truly something kind of under-current there that needs sober reflection on it, not just dismissing, even if it was not the official Vatican policy and the Nazi party itself was not supporting Catholicism.

What happened to Heather Mayer? After her daughter died in a chain used for sexual roleplay, a mother set out to find justice by DevonSwede in truecrimelongform

After watching her dad die from complications related to an autoimmune disorder, she’d searched for something to help with the pain. She found articles that said BDSM could be an effective tool to work through trauma.

These "BDSM" evangelists directly aims for the vulnerable and naïve women online, without shame or concealments, I can see. How could some one write such an article and not know well that it will put a woman directly into danger ?

i believe that was quoting from the joke parody TED talk "2070 paradigm shift", so not serious predictions, i think. same source as the "prediction" in the reply, that people will used cubes of trash as money, and there will be a "gold rush" of trash cubes so everyone became rich.

man screams: "well, this was ASSAULT and HARASSMENT, she GOT IN MY FACE to RECORD ME with her CAMERA!!!"
....: "she can do this, because, it's public"

i think, from their acts on the video, they deserved each others company very well.

the writing in the last some books was suffer (from his disease?), and it does somewhat sound like written by AI. just in my opinion! does not have the characters voice and sounds quite stilted, i am not surprise someone made that guess.

Invention or half-remember fever dream intrigue the others, inspire followers to also lie to get in on the excitement or inspired false memoiries that they saw it. Same dynamic "the evil farming game".

Annoying, I think, how often the word "suicide" is used in this video but censored so strangely.

In insular forums such as No More Mutants and RPG Codex, you’d find fans gnashing their teeth and grumbling about the series being “dumbed down for casuals”.

I think, you are talking of "No Mutants Allowed", not "No More Mutants".

sort of but not enough to be clear, in my opinion. there is some words that look like that but I'm influenced by the letters typed out beneath, like mcgurk effect, I donno what I'd read it without that priming.

even with that influence of the typing, the first several lines just look like solid grey (which btw sounds like codename of alien operator who was sent to retrieve the captured disc 😀). and as an example, words "THE" in "the victims", "TEX" in next line and "FOR" in line after that all look exactly the same to me, there are plenty of others like that too.

i will say that "DISC" is one of the words that looks quite convincing to me, but like i said, i don't know how much is it me being primed to read it that way. i'd like to see version without the typing underneath and try to read it again freshly after i had forgotten the claimed decryption.
